Sad Goodbye to Thongs, Anyone?

And I'm not talking flip flops.  Pretty much since puberty, I could never find a brief that stayed put over my bubble butt.  I found that a good quality thong was much more comfortable for me, and I've been wearing VS Everyday exclusively for years.  That said, they're not exactly compatible with the ginormous maxi pads in my future.  Have any of you made the switch from thongs, and if so, which specific ones did you find most round-thing-in-your-face-friendly?

Motherhood maternity underwear - tons of different styles to choose from, love them! Oh, and after you give birth, STOCK UP on the hospital disposable underwear - it is a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!

  • That's great! Thank you! I would have expected anything "hospital disposable" to be awful.

I expected them to be too....until I put them on! I wanted to cry when my last pair was gone.
  • Hospital mesh panties are awesome!!! I washed and dried mine for a couple of weeks.

When I had my miscarriage they gave me the mesh panties. I remember thinking they were such a good idea but they were sooooo tight. I'm overwork but come on, they could of Gone up a size for me. Ha

  • I wear one size Lacie thongs until I arrive at the hospital ;). I used some VS briefs last time after the mesh underwear ran out. But I was back in a thong as soon as the bleeding stopped. I liked the high leg brief and another one with lace around the top, I don't know what they're called.

  • I do thongs & boy shorts!!!! Mesh ones while bleeding so I don't ruin mine, but once they're done I wear my boy short undies with lots of pad protection lol.
  • I am GLADLY welcoming the excuse to NOT wear thongs right now (lol DH loves them and pre-pregnancy I usually only wore them for him). I love me a comfortable pair of panties... I can't wait to see what all the fuss is about these hospital panties!
  • So that means I don't need to go out and buy "regular" underwear? Because all I own is thongs maybe literally 2 pair of regular underwear which I really don't want to ruin because they're cute lol
But every hospital has them ? How do you stock up on them? You keep asking for some or how does that work??
  • I have moved to VS bootie shorts. Love them!!! I have a big butt so have to get an XL but they have been soooo much better than thongs cutting in and creeping into places they don't need to be.
  • Am I the only person who just doesn't wear underwear??? Lol

Yes ask the hospital where you are delivering if they provide the mesh undies. They should. If so. While you are there ask for several pairs. You can wash the dirty ones while wearing a pair when you are home. They do start to get old & wear (the mesh isn't made out of the best stuff lol) but usually by that time your bleeding has lightened up & you can just wear regular undies with plenty of padding so you don't ruin them.
