Good morning ladies, I'm currently in my 2ww, at 7dpt and I'm trying really hard to keep my nerves in check but could use your help! My DH and I had been TTC for a year when our doctor recommended us to a RE. At the clinic we were diagnose with MFI (severe low count) and were told that ICSI would be our only option. Early May I started the BC followed by injections of Superfact, Gonal F and a microdose, finishing with a trigger shot of Ovidril. After 14 days of stimulation, on May 15th we had our ER: 11 retrieved, 9 mature and 5 fertilized. ET was on day 3 with two good looking embryos and the 3 others were froze. From what I can gather on the internet implantation (God willing) would've concluded yesterday and today the HCG hormones should start to be entered into my body, I know it's super early but I don't feel any different, in fact, I haven't felt this good in weeks since the swelling from my stim cycle seems to be going down....I'm due back at the clinic for BW on June 1st and fingers crossed I'll get good news! Anyways, if you could please let me know your own first time IVF success stories I would really like to fill my brain with positive thoughts! Someone from the infertility board thought this would be a good forum for feedback! Thank you so much for your time!
I got my bfp on ivf #1 at 5 days post 5 day transfer. It was the faintest line ever and didn't darken up until about 2 days later. I obviously cheated and tested way before my blood test. I didn't feel anything different except maybe more hungry than normal.
Best of luck!

IVF planned for early November- cancelled due to cyst
That's great to hear! The nurse cautioned me from testing at home, stating that the ovidrel has been known to produce false positives....I'm debating taking a HPT on Saturday which would be 10dpt but haven't decided yet. I'm so happy everything worked for you! Thanks for your feedback!
My first FET (didn't have a fresh cycle due to PGD) of 2 embryos resulted in my current twin pregnancy. I went beta or bust. I didn't have any symptoms at all- thought I was out! GL!
***SIGGY WARNING***
Our Story
Me- 35, mild hypothyroidism
DH- 29, low count due to a chromosomal abnormality, only option is IVF/ICSI with PGD.
Married 5/13
TTC since 8/13
IVF/ICSI #1 ER 9/14 - 14R, 6M, 6F, 5 blasts off to PGD- 1 normal female, 2 balanced males
FET 12/8 of 2 frosties - 1 male/1 female - stick babies stick!
Due to OHSS, we had to freeze our embryos after IVF in November. I got pregnant after my first FET in early this January. I was able to get a slightly positive urine test 9 days afterwards so 14dpo essentially. It was soo light that my DH wouldn't celebrate the pregnancy until after the nurse called with the beta results.
I didn't have any symptoms until about week after my beta results. Even then it was only a little spotting and being exhausted. First trimester exhaustion is no joke. I never, ever want to be that tired again.
We had success with both first ivf and first fet transfers. Unfortunately, our ivf resulted in a split embryo that did not split correctly and we lost them but we did end up with a pregnancy none the less. After both procedures, I told DH to not get his hopes up as I didn't feel any different and did not feel it had worked, very glad I was wrong! I'm extremely impatient and started testing early with first positives coming up at 6dp5dt. I'm currently 8w3d with separate twins and am still just as anxious and nervous as the day of the transfer. Fx for sticky beans!
Good luck @MrsB91512, thanks for sharing your experience! I'm too afraid to do a HPT incase it come up a BFN and then the dream is over...I know that's a terrible attitude to have so I keep trying to remind myself, "why not me?". congrats on your twin preg!
I tested positive with a hpt 13dpo after a 5 day transfer. I always would test the day before blood work because the trigger shot should be out of your system by then and I'd rather find out at home with my husband then waiting for the nurse to call. It was our first time with ivf and we only transferred one embryo. We tried for 3 plus years before starting ivf and I'm now 30 weeks pregnant with our baby boy! Lots of luck to you!!
Hi! After ectopic from IUI #1 & two additional unsuccessful IUIs we did our first IVF. Here are our IVF numbers. 17 follicles, 8 eggs, 4 out of the 8 were mature, all 4 were fertilized. 3 day transfer with 5 & 6 cell embryos (other 2 did not continue to grow in lab). Got BFP 11DP3DT (4 weeks prego, 2 weeks after IVF trigger). I did have what I would consider early symptoms before BFP, BOOBIES (°)(°) were extremely sore, and I had what was very similar to menstrual cramping on 4, 5 & 6DP3DT...assuming it was implantation cramping, thought for sure I was going to start bleed, but never did, not even spotting. And complete exhaustion, but most likely side effect from progesterone rather than an early symptom.
I had 14 retreived, 3 frozen and one implanted. It worked the first try and 6 days after (5 day transfer) I could see the FAINTEST of faint lines. It kept getting darker and darker after that.
It was my first attempt and I'm having a little girl on (or near) August 4th! Fingers crossed for you
My success story wasn't the first time round but I did get my BFP 4 weeks after my first round. I had IVF and ended up with 4 top grade embryos. Transferred 2 the first time and got a BFN. I went back to the doctors and we decided to try again straight away. So the next week we started again for a frozen transfer and I had my BFP transferred 2 both took but only one heart beat. I am now 8 weeks with one.
I know it's not so common to go back to back and honestly i feel exhausted as I have gone through two rounds of meds and now the joys of first trimester sickness. At 8 weeks I feel like I have been going through the yucky parts for Almost 4 months now. But am so happy I went with my gut to try again.
It took til 8dpt5dt to get a positive test. I even felt less symptoms the time it worked to the time it didn't, but I think it was the stimmulation meds that my body didn't feel so good the first round. FET I felt better in myself and the main early sign was peeing a lot more that was it though.
I wish you all the best! It's a long and difficult path and the ups and downs are so tough emotionally. Finger crossed for you and lots of luck
I am 4 days post 5 day transfer and I'm not having any symptoms at all and I'm getting worried that I should be feeling something and I'm not! Can anyone relate?
@chelsbum I really can! If you read my story above, I felt almost nothing unusual in my successful cycle. No sore boobs, no nausea, no real craps, no sensitivity to smell!
Only a few days in a felt a little tugging in my uterus area but I could have easily missed it. And then peeing around 6 dpt but it wasn't enough to convince me of anything. I was testing negative until 8dpt5dt. I had a melt down at 7dpt as I was convinced I was out. I kept reading all these people with all these symptoms and early positives and it was so disheartening.
Please don't lose hope! Keep your spirits up and distraction is key! It's hard this wait is just painful.
Awesome ladies! thanks so much for your support! I caved and did a cheapie HPT at 9dp3dt and the line was so faint that i wasn't sure it was a positive (Last year my DH and I travelled to Africa and when we got back my AF was late so I took a cheapie test then an the SAME faint line appeared...but it was a false positive) so I didn't want to get my hopes up. The next day I did a Clear Blue test and waiting on pins and needles until I finally saw a BFP!!!!!!!! My DH wouldn't celebrate with me since he was crushed with the results of the cheapie and didn't want to be let down if this BFP was somehow still from the trigger shot (which would've been 14 days prior) so now i've been taking a test everyday since (today is 12dp3dt) and everyday the BFP line is getting darker! I'm SO HAPPY! Thanks so much for all the well wishes!!! my beta is on Monday, praying and hoping my blood confirms what my heart is feeling!
@chelsbum even with my BFP I sill have zero symptoms, my boobs are fine, my hunger is normal, i'm not tired/sick etc. Maybe a little moody but my DH is a morning person and I am not so that could be the cause of that (haha) so hang in there and don't loose hope!!!
Thanks so much ladies you have definitely eased my stress significantly! You've given me hope! So good to hear these stories after all the hard work us IVF girls have had to go through!
I'm 6w4d after my first ivf. Still cautiously optimistic, but it worked! I didn't test until the day before my beta at 12dp5dt because I was so nervous it would be another disappointment. No symptoms that couldn't be explained by the progesterone, so I really didn't know. Good luck and hang in there!
I just got a BFP today from the blood work test!!! I am thrilled. I really don't feel different than I have during any other TWW. The best sign of course is that AF wasn't showing so that made me feel very positive. My only other symptoms could be more than usual BMs and a little bit of shooting pain in my abdomen. This has happened maybe 5 times in the last week. I noticed it most while I was sleeping last night and turned over. If I use my stomach muscles I think that's when I feel it randomly. Good luck. It's such a tough waiting period.

Full term healthy baby boy born on 2-11-16 Jan 29, 2018: FET Feb 8. 2018: BFP! Mar 6: weak heartbeat.
I got 29 eggs out of the IVF cycle, 15 that fertilized, 3 that survived to day 5 and only 1 that was still dividing on implantation day. Nothing left to freeze and only one shot at it. I was a wreck waiting for blood test results, but it all worked cuz I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with my son to be! The only symptom I had pre-positive result was implantation bleeding about a week after. It can totally happen even when it seems the odds are so small. Good luck, and I would love an update on how things are going.
