abdominal circumference less by 2 weeks

According to the reports,all the measurements seem normal according to 31 weeks except ac.Dr said baby abdomen is less in measurements by 2 weeks.Anyone experienced this trigger ?

Our baby has IUGR and her growth has been behind the since around 20 weeks. Her growth is declining and our doctor was worried when her stomach was measuring the smallest because he said that the stomachache measurement is the most important one. It does happen though, babies grow whenever they want to grow, everyone is different. It's all about there own growth curve. If the doctor isn't worried, I wouldn't be, if he/she is, don't stress too much and ask questions and research

Same here! But my dr told me not to worry, you can also see a weird dent in her waist, but she said that as it is soft tissue and all the organs seem to be fine we shouldn't worry about it.

My baby is also small in the stomach area and I am more being monitored twice a week because small stomach is a sign of restricted blood flow through umbilical cord. I have been living this nightmare for four weeks now and I never know what to expect during checkups. Last week I was advised to have a bag packed. It sounds like you Dr isn't that concerned? Do you go to a specialist? Iwasalso diagnosed with gestational diabetes and now monitor my blood and crcarb intake. hope everything goes good for you. And baby is healthy.

We are in the same boat. I have asthma and diabetes and I get monitored twice a week for NST, once a week for a doppler test and also an ultrasound. My doctor is a high risk doctor and since second trimester he said our goal is to make it to 35 weeks, but since 29-30 weeks he said to be prepared /have a bag packed every time we come. It is stressful, BUT as long as we control our sugars and everything and continue being healthy, hopefully everything will be fine
