girl name thoughts

36 weeks today and I think we've narrowed it down to a good list to bring to the hospital...looking for opinions (give me your worst, i won't be offended).

Middle name will be Rose (for my grandmother) and last name is similar to Snail (one syllable beginning with S).

*family names we just happened to like

Ada*
Julia
Lila
Lena*
Natalie
Sophia

    Love your list- Ada and Julia are my fave. Julia is on our list too. I would eliminate Sophia just because of popularity and Lila is just nms!

    I love Natalie and Julia. Also really like Lila. Sophia is becoming too popular for my liking.

    Lena and Ada are my favorites! I would toss Sophia because it's so popular, and I'm not a fan of alliteration.

    I like all of those names. When DH and I reached that stage, we cut out the most popular. Then we used family sentiment as a tiebreaker

    I like all of your choices! I don't love Lena because it feels unfinished. ( I know it's a proper name, it's just my opinion!) That said, it's not BAD it's just nms. I think Natalie Rose is a great choice. You don't hear Natalie that much right now and I think it's lovely!

    They are all solid names. I love Lila, so that would be my personal choice. Ada and Lena would be runners up. They all sound great with rose. I see why you're having a hard time!

    This is my exact issue with Sophia...the full name sounds ok with our last name but if we call her Sophie it begins to sound kind of cartoon charactery. Still a great name, though probably not for us.

    Thanks for the opinions everyone! Right now my favorites are probably Julia and Ada but we want to wait until we see her to really decide. :-)

    All of these names are solid. Personally, I really dislike Lila. Julia would be my favorite.

    I like Lila and Sophia. I agree with everyone with Sophia being to popular at the moment and I have decided to use it as a middle name instead.
