11 Week Question

While I know there have been a million posts about cramping - I searched and didn't see anything this far along.

Is anyone else still experiencing or has experienced light cramping at 11 weeks? I just didn't think it would last this long. I also had lower back pain with it a few days this week which really worried me. :/ I called the Dr. but the nurse said it should be okay and to call back if it gets more severe or if there's any bleeding. I'm still worried - any thoughts??

Also- I'm so nervous for my 12 week ultrasound!!!

Re: 11 Week Question

  • Yup sounds normal. Your uterus is growing pretty rapidly at this point. Follow what your nurse said.

  • I agree. I'm 10.2 weeks and still have cramping. It's just your uterus changing.

I'm 12w2d and my back pain has been almost unbearable at points. I had the same problem while pregnant with DS. No cramping for me, but as long as it isn't too painful or accompanied by blood, you should be fine.

I'm 11w4d and still having some mild cramping every once in a while.
  • Yep I still get it too and I'm in my 11th week
  • Totally normal! Had it with my son and now this pregnancy as well. Has gotten way worse this past week, and I am pretty sure my uterus is popping from behind my hips. Just the uterus stretching and moving on up!

  • Yeah, I'm 12+1 and still experiencing cramping and backache!
As long as it isn't severe or accompanied by bleeding it's normal x
  • Thank you everyone - that made me feel a lot better! Being new to this its really crazy how EVERY little thing scares me! I try to be choosy though and only write what REALLY worries me on this board, so I truly appreciate the input! Hoping we all have happy and healthy pregnancies and little ones!
  • Yep 11 w today and had crazy back pain and light cramping for the past 3 days.
  • I'm 11 weeks and I have noticed that my lower back is pretty sore. Especially if I stand for too long.

Absolutely normal. I too have had some cramping and lower back aches. We are starting to get to the point where ligaments and such are getting lose and flexible. If you have any previous injuries/ aches ( knees, back, hips) get ready for them to flare.
  • I am almost 11 weeks and still having cramping. I just drink some extra water and wait for it to pass! Totally normal.

  • I'm 10w 2d and I've been worried because the nurse says I should have some cramps as my body changes to make room.  No cramping.  I'm hoping the fact that I'm overweight means there is already room. I think if your dr says it is ok it most likely is.
  • My doctor said not to expect those kinds of pains to go away at all. Maybe they subside here and there, but there's lots going on so it's normal to have aches throughout pregnancy.
  • I'm 11+3 and have cramps at random times. Sometimes sharp sometimes dull. Usually on the sides. I've read that at this point you start getting round ligament pain which I assume is what this is. My doc at 10 weeks said cram pining means stretching
  • I'm 12 weeks and still cramping, just randomly. Not as bad or as constant as they were earlier. Also shape round ligament pains started around 10 wks for me

OMG yes.... 10 weeks on the dot and boom here comes the ligament pain and stretching discomfort. And man am I uncomfortable ;)

I just always remind myself that the cramping from a mc isn't light like this, it's like mini labor and comes in intense waves, anything less I write off as fetus setting up shop in there.

  • Ok so what does the round ligament pain feel like? The pain I had that day with the lower back pain felt heaviness almost like o was about the get my period, but I could also describe it as it literally felt as if my uterus was stretching out and kind of pulling a little...

Amen, sista! I had horrible joint pain in my hips and knees from growing too fast as a teenager, and it's all coming back to me now! I feel like an 80 year old whenever we have sex lol, I'm practically arthritic!
