BH, CONTRACTIONS ???

I don't even know if I've had any contractions yet. Which seems stupid because I feel like I'd know If I've had one or not. Only thing I've felt are non painful BH and weird back pain that shoots down my right leg. Anyone else experiencing that? Some people have said it may be her pressing on a nerve. No idea though. I'm a ftm so I have no idea what to expect- my doctors aren't much help.

You may want to find new doctors if they are no help.... Please check daily symptoms thread and you will get great information.

I'm a FTM too I have no clue what I'm feeling either. I had a non stress today and it was showing contractions every now and then. I didn't feel a thing and if I did I probably would have mistaken it for the baby moving. My doctor explained Braxton hicks are supposed to make your stomach hard but not hurt. When they start to cause pain or feel like period cramps that's when things get real. I think the pain you are experiencing is sciatic pain which is normal for where the baby is laying. I'm sure some STM can chime in. Everyone I talk to though has different contraction pains or experiences.

I'm FTM too and have all kinds of contractions. I'm going by the fact that no one has ever 'missed labor' pains. Even the 'I didn't know I was pregnant' folks. So I'm pretty sure when it is the real deal, I'll know :^o

I've been having BH with menstrual-like cramps in my lower back. They are intermittent, though the other night they were coming about 20 minutes apart for several hours. Today, I'm feeling nothing. I don't know what any of it means as a FTM!

Yeah, I mean I feel like I have menstrual cramps sometimes but they're not bad. Mostly just the weird pinched nerve feel in my back and leg.i wasn't worried about labor till I felt that shooting pain down my leg for like 3 seconds. Then I started to worry about labor lol right I'm sure I'll know too.

Wow thats crazy i dont even know if mine have been coming consistantly or in waves. Maybe I'm having the same thing, I need to keep track of how long they last and the waves. Do yours hurt ? @megtyrrell

@deb1992 They don't really hurt, they are uncomfortable though. The cramps kind of hurt.

I felt like I was having menstrual cramps for two days . I went to the hospital and she asked if I felt the contraction I had . And I said no. She said I was having major contractions that I barely felt . But I had a pain shooting down my leg and it was my sciatica nerve , he was laying on it for 7months! It is a killer pain but doesn't feel anything like contractions
