I ran across a girl name spelled Abcde. And it has been given to over 300 girls! It is pronounced Ab-si-dee. Not sure what to think about this name but at least it will help them out with their alphabet! Very unique for sure!
It is a recorded name. Last year it was given to 11 girls. The most girls named Abcde in a year was 32 in 2009.
"Lemonjello" "Oranjello" and "la-a" are urban legends and have never been recorded. They are racist in origin, so please if you are someone who brings one of those names up anytime there is a * bad name thread, please spreading racist myths.
Also. Please don't name your child any from or variation of Abcde. If you want a "unique" name, look for something outside the top 1000. Us nerds at the baby name board do like a challenge, but we will snark names we don't like, such as Abcde.
*sorry, incomplete thought, should be more readable now.
Lemongelo and orangelo are actual names - I personally know a girl that works in Indiana at a daycare center and has two brothers who are in her class and are named that. She couldn't believe it since its generally thought of as a made up story but swear they are real. I'm not sure of the spelling however.
Also just want to be clear there is no racism in my comment in fact the two boys are Caucasian before that goes any further. Just sharing because I couldn't believe it when she told me about it either

That's how urban myths are perpetuated. Everyone personally knows someone who knows someone with those names. I have a nurse friend who told me the same thing. I didn't fall for it though

It doesn't matter if the boys in your story are Martian, it's still a racist urban legend. As many times has someone claims they know a Lemonjelo and Orangelo, it's numerically impossible for all these people to be right because the names do not show up at all in SSA database.
All I'm saying is, the dots on your ceiling spell gullible.
I actually went to college with a guy named Gelo (pronounced jell-o) Orange- he played football for our school and he helped me through French class. Not Orangelo but close.
Re: Anyone heard of this name?
*shrugs*
I'll have to remember that the next time I bring up what I want to name my son around my parents. There's always a worse name! Lol
