Disappointing 4d scan

Yesterday I had a 4d bonding scan that was rather expensive however my lickle man was fast asleep with he's hands over he's face so I literally saw he's ear. The sonographer was kind enough to allow me 1 more attempt which I have tomorrow but I'm worried it will be the same situation as it's at the same time, does anyone have any suggestions on how to wake him, I tried coffee and went for a walk but he still didn't budge, picture attatched lol!

I drink juice or lemonade and she goes bananas. I don't drink coffee because k have a strong aversion but the caffeine in tea doesn't effect her much.

I drank orange juice but then LO wouldn't stop moving and they couldn't get a good picture. We got 3 cute ones, but will not spend extra money for another scan. I will gladly wait the 10 weeks left to meet my little love.

OJ does it for me too! Also heard really cold water works.

Yes! I was told to eat or drink something sugary 30 mins before mine. It's tomorrow. I drank half a diet coke wth my 20 week ultrasound and she was all over the place. Ha! The she fell asleep. It was so funny.

Thanks guys will defo try orange juice, hopefully he will wake up, I can't wait to get a glimpse of he's face.

Anytime I drink something ice cold he starts kicking more. It doesn't have to be sugary. I think it's the temp that gets him kicking. I have mine tomorrow. Hope we both get good images!

I had starburst and a soda just before mine. She was still kinda sleepy, so the tech literally shook my belly to wake her up. It worked! We got pics of her yawning and sucking her thumb after that.
Ask them to give you a lil shake! Lol

I had mcdonalds breakfast, orange juice, and cold water prior to so baby was on the move!

My LO has slept through every ultrasound and I had to go in for 2 anatomy scans, almost three. The Tech had me drink coffee before I came in...she didn't even move except her hands and feet. They shook my uterus and I danced around and still nothing! 3D or 4D wasn't even an option for me. A simple profile was almost not even an option! But I finally got a couple of her and that will hold me over until she comes around ❤️ I hope you girls get good pictures of your babies

sorry that you couldn't get a full profile or full face pic, but this is still pretty cute.  If you look, you can see his little nose and lips peeking out underneath his armpit!

I bet this scan was a total fluke. I rarely hear of someone getting no good look like what happened to you. Enjoy seeing your little guy tomorrow! Hopefully he's a good sleeper as an outside baby too.

Yep, I've got a sleeper during ultrasounds too! OJ works great. And like PP said, I had a tech that shook my belly and it woke her up.

Thr last 2 US little lady was sleeping, but at the 3d/4d we did get her move to get a semi decent face, not full front but cute enough. She kept yawning and grabbing her face with her hand. It was funny to watch. This was also at 21 wks. And now at almost 29 she moves all thr time. I'm debating going back bc I'm just too impatient to see her LOL

I think it's an absolutely adorable picture! i bet you'll get lots of them with him in that position soon. Babies sleep a lot, it's a fact!

Mine also covered his face, with his hand, but we could see a little bit. Then after 2 weeks the regular ultrasound check, we saw his face and it was amazing.

We have an appt for a 3D/HD Live ultrasound tomorrow for our combination anniversary & mother's/father's day presents. I hope our little guy cooperates!! He's normally pretty responsive to sugar so I plan to drink something sweet on the way to the appt. Fingers crossed for a good picture!

OP, even though you can't see your baby boy's face, that's a really cute picture.

When I call my little ones name he starts kicking and moving around! He loves sounds anytime people talk or he here's me and my DH sing he moves and wiggles like crazy. And a dr pepper gets him going too!

Oh Thankyou ladies for all your advise I agree it's a cute picture I just wanted to a little glimps of he's face, he defo has he's daddy ears I know that lol!
