^^^ I love that you used the phrase "chap my ass" in a post regarding cloth diapers. My day is maaaaaade.
My confession is that DH left for a fishing trip for the holiday weekend, and I am not even remotely sad. I will miss him, but will be adequately consoled by my clean and quiet house and total domination over the remote control. Not sorry.
I think people who tell me that they don't have time to cloth diaper because of all the "extra laundry" are lazy. I worked full time & CD my baby, it's my favorite & easiest washing. I also take offense when they say they don't want to deal with poop, as if I like to play in it.
There are other legitimate reasons NOT to CD, but those chap my ass. Go a head, flame me.
This is awesome and exactly me.
Also some people are sooo impressed when they learn I've "kept up" with cloth diapering as if I'm some sort of martyr. It's not hard!
I totally agree! When I first started CDing people told me it wouldn't last. Boy they're surprised now (and it only motivated me more to prove them wrong). A friend of mine mentioned at her baby shower that I cloth diaper and all her guests were like OMG WOW.. I was like, I didn't cure cancer guise.

I can't even with these white knights today. The OPs from both threads have apologized, but the white knights keep coming in droves to show their stupidity.

See, I'll fully admit I don't CD for no legit reason and probably because I'm just too lazy, haha

I tried it. For one day. The first time he pooped EVERY. DAMN. TIME. I put a new cloth on him, I said eff it all. 'Sposies for lyfe.
@Everycol0r I've always said i wanted to CD when i have babies, this is very encouraging! Whenever i mention CD in conversations with family members, they are so discouraging. My mom is the worst and always pulls the laundry and poop argument.

It seemed like everyone was very negative IRL when talking to them about it.

Before I stayed home my mom watched DD & she had no qualms with cloth diapers (at first she was against). We almost put DD in daycare & they were fine with the cloth diapers but told us they would put the poopy diapers in the wetbag for me to deal with, which would have been fine. A lot of CD mothers who have children in daycare do have to use sposies there because they are few and far between that will allow cloth. Fun fact, most day cares provide diapers & wipes (not all & some also provide formula) so you're not out any extra cost.
Edit: In the spirit of full disclosure, we use sposies for bedtime. Pampers Baby Dry is actually a nighttime diaper.

I read about tucking in one or two absorbent inserts in the diaper at nighttime. Does that not work?
I've only tried our diaper system 1-2 times overnight. They worked fine but were so bulky she didn't sleep well. Mama likes her sleep so the sposies work for us. I really, really want a Sustainablebabyish (Sbish) overnight diaper but they're $30 a pop and I'd want at least 3.

Gotcha. Well there's some on eBay for $35 for a set of three. Obvi used though.
Edited bc those are sbish but maybe not the overnight ones you're wanting

Oh I'll have to look into that. I hadn't checked eBay, I usually just watch Nicki's Diapers for sales. Feel free to pm me anytime if you want to pick my brain!

I have a guilty pleasure confession... I have been listening to Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint on repeat all day... It's so terrible, but I love it.
Girrrl, Pinkprint is my secret jam. Nicki Minaj is so obnoxiously catchy. I can't stop myself.
Confession: instead of doing actual work, I spent 20 minutes building a toy block tower and snacking on my coworker's blueberries like a little kid. I work in a professional office. I have no idea why there were blocks.
I'm seriously starting to consider buying one baby item each cycle. (so far I've purchase nothing- nada- not even when I was pregnant with the MC).
I'm thinking it could be a fun distraction picking something out in the TWW and, then for every cycle it takes before a BFP that sticks, I'll just have that many items already purchased.
Another confession: I am going to purposely avoid all baby showers I'm invited to for the foreseeable future. Not even the slightest bit sorry about it either. I'll just mail them a gift.
Thank you for unintentinally validating my feelings!!! I am about to RSVP no to a baby show because I just can't handle them lately! If it was a close friend,I would suck it up but this is a new neighbor who is throwing her own shower at her house and inviting the whole street. Ehh. So many first birthday and shower invites. It's too hard for me now. I still send a gift but it's just too many and too upsetting. I do feel like a jerk sometimes though. :-<

Don't feel like a jerk! Your absence is not going to ruin any of their parties or showers. Take care of yourself first.
DH and I just bought a new mattress with some of the money from our tax return. I'm pretending it's a period/consolation gift for not being ktfu even though I had been planning this purchase since before we got married. It's a serious upgrade from our current mattress, which means that I will definitely be enjoying sleep much more now, while I can. And hopefully it makes for better sex too!
I drank two bottles of wine last night and am pretty sure I was still buzzing when school started... its the last day of term before our May break and I am actually happy and was laughing and playing keyword bingo with my WORST group of Y8 students.. so I think me as a slightly drunk teacher is a better teacher
I am supposed to eat gluten free but sometimes I indulge but hide it from DH... I do pay for it in the aftermath though so I am sure he knows when the bathroom becomes a toxic waste dump
I want to get my nipples pierced but I honestly have a fear that milk will come shooting out of all directions when breastfeeding my hypothetical but still non-existant child
I'm late to the party but.... @ACleanLife24 so don't let the milk thing stop you because it will come shooting out of all directions whether you pierce or dont.
Confession: Just finished the chardonnay in the house & about to finish the almost full pint of ben & jerry's Tonight Dough. DH is away doing military things & I just got back from a derm appt where they ended up doing 3 biopsies for possible melanoma. Happy Friday?

We bought our first new mattress right after our wedding in August and it changed my life.
My confession, I debate for hours at a time whether to persue the threads you all mention with bsc. Lol its so tempting though to seek out a bit of "idiots being put in their place" I purposefully don't go to bmbs just because 1. I still want to be around in 1 week. You ladies have fantastic restraint. =D> 2. I don't want to burn out my bsc tolerance before I ever make it to a bmb fx.

Tonight dough is so good!
giiiiirrrrrrrl, its too good. ALL of my favorite things in 1 ice cream. I'm lactose intolerant and I still get down on that ish

I couldn't handle the sex disappointment thread. It took everything in me....
Something about "you can't tell us what the rules are" or whatever. There is a sticky thread at the top people got pissed about and now she started her own thread.
