I'm 37 weeks and 5 days 2cm dilated

Yesterday my doctor checked me and said that I'm 2cm dilated and my cervix is thin already.. So what I did is I walk for an hour and half in the afternoon and walk for another hour at night.. No sign of labor yey. So this morning I walked for another an hour and half no sign still.. Is there anyway I can figure out how much CM I'm dilated? Coz I felt like my baby went down even more...

I was 2 cm and cervix was thin at 36 weeks with my first and she was born at 40w6d... In other words, it means nothing. No matter what you do baby will come when it comes and unless you know how to measure and can reach your cervix, there's no way of knowing without a professional checking you.

I agree with PP. It doesn't matter how dilated you are at this point. You could walk around that way and still need to be induced. I'm denying all checks until I hit 39/40 weeks mainly because I just don't want to know haha.

Yiippppieeeee! It'd be nice if doctor doesn't tell us how many cm...because we are working ourselves up WHEN WHEN WHEN....is it already bigger??

I am 1 cm...you wouldn't believe how many things I am TRYING to push my progression. Because the more lower LO gets...the annoying it gets! My friend told me, relaxxxx just sit back... she has no idea she hasn't been pregnant.

So keep on walking ;-) of course breaks in between and drink water!

I'm 36+6. At a 4 and 60% effaced. And have been for a week and half. And no baby yet. I was at a 6-7 for over a week with my previous. It. Means. Nothing. Lol. I wish ppl would understand this. It drives me nuts.

I would start doing pushing exercises now! You're having a baby in the next 3 days. I'm a FTM and I have a cousin who went into labor quickly, so I know these things.

I would stand on my head in tripod position for awhile..... Then do the pushing exercises.

My cousin had more luck standing "Captain Morgan" style and squatting simultaneously. Like I said, I know all about this! I have a cousin...

I so wish it meant something. My neighbor had a check up on Friday, no dilation, nada but then labor started Saturday night and baby was here that night. Crazy!

I find myself praying for labor pains. Lol
