Anyone else here have F5L? I had to give myself Lovenox shots 6 weeks PP with DD. I know I'll do the same this time. I take an 81mg aspirin when I remember.

Has anyone ever had a clot? Pretty sure I could be working on one. Left foot and ankle are swollen much more than the other side. I plan on calling in the morning after a night of lots of water and elevated feet/sleeping on my left side.

I have this to. My sister had a clot that nearly killed her so please make sure you get checked out!! In regards to pregnancy, my first pregnancy I had clexaine during pregnancy and after, 2nd baby only 2 weeks PP and this pregnancy nothing at all. My first pregnancy was 12 years ago and not as much was known as there is now. Goodluck, I hope that everyone is ok

Called and they're scheduling a Doppler today. This is why I freaked out! My left foot ballooned super quick.

Doppler didn't find anything thank God! I followed up with my OBGYN and everything checked out there too. She checked my cervix and I'm not dilated at all. Overall uneventful

Whew.  Glad there was no clot.  I have F5L as well.  I will do Lovenox for 6 weeks PP as well.  I am on heparin twice a day now until I deliver.  I have never had a clot myself, but my friend (also F5L) had one in her thigh and was on coumiden for 6+months.  Scary!

In 2012 I had a clot in my left calf and ended up with one in each of my lungs because that one got so big that it broke apart and traveled to my lungs. NOT fun. I've been on lovenox since week 8 once a day and switched to heparin twice a day when I hit 36 weeks and will be on lovenox again 6 weeks after delivery.

@ksimo6 - are you getting really sore at your injection sites or am I just a big baby? haha

I have factor 5 too. I just switched to heparin. Everything's going well so far!!

LO made his appearance Tuesday so I've done my shot for 3 days now. OBGYN gave me a higher dose than last time that I only have to do once a day. That made me happy!

@fishback23 I hate finding a new spot every time! And worrying about rubbing it! And just giving myself a shot in general! No pain yet though for me.

I have it, but thankfully haven't had any problems during my pregnancy.  I have to get the shots after baby is born, too.  I'm not looking forward to that.

I've had to be on them since I was 8 weeks and I am just sooooo tired of them.
