Identical twins - need recommendation for a MFM specialist

Hello,

This is our first pregnancy and we learnt that we are having identical twins and got bumped to a high risk case. We are at Mt Auburn but want to transfer to another hospital with NICU and a MFM departments (Mt Auburn doesn't have that).

Anybody can recommend a MFM specialist at MGH, BI or Brighams ?  Whom would you recommend for twins or someone who specializes in High risk cases ?

Please help !

Apologies if this has been discussed in another thread. Did a quick search and didn't find any - hence decided to post.

Plus, any suggestions will be welcome !

So confused and overwhelmed  !  Need all the advise I can get.

I am not a twin mom, but I was considered high risk through most of my pregnancy. I ended up going with the team at Newton Wellesley. They were fantastic. If we ever have another, I will definitely go back.

Of the hospitals you listed, I only have had experience with Brigham. We did our fertility treatments there and they were great. I did see Dr. Feinberg (from MFM) over the course of our IF journey and was happy with his demeanor.

    Good luck and congratulations!

I was at MGH for 10 days last week with preterm labor and loved all the MFM specialists. We also toured the NICU and was pleasantly surprised. I'd say you can't go wrong with anyone at MGH.

I adore my doctors. My OB/GYN is Dr. Jaqualine Croopnick at Boston OB/GYN. They're out of Beth Israel and every doctor at the practice is phenomenal! Downstairs one floor from her office at 1 Brookline Place is an MFM named Dr. Bruce Cohen (practice is called Boston MFM.) He now delivers at Saint Elizabeth's, however, he follows me regularly and Jackie Croopnick & partners can deliver you at BIDMC. The best part about these doctors is that they work well together, they share information so you're not being poked and prodded twice, and best part is that their offices are one floor apart from each other so it's a one stop shop. I think they're both excepting new patients but if they are not, send me a private message and I will try to get you in.
