QOTW: Craziest/weirdest thing in your hospital bag?

Re: ****3rd Tri Check In - May 18th

  • Hey Ladies!
I'm 32 weeks on Thursday. I can't believe I only have two more months!! I'm soooo excited. :) Our hospital tour is this week. Woot! My next checkup is Tuesday. I'm hoping they'll do a growth check or something. I had an AS at 19 weeks but nothing since. Is that normal?

QOTD: Uh... No bag packed and haven't even thought of it!! Better get on that pretty soon! :-bd

    Have a great week!

  • 29w3d - took the 3 hour GTT yesterday - no results yet.  Feeling pretty big and my maternity clothes from pregnancy with DD are starting not to cover the bump. (DD this morning:  Mommy your belly is falling out)  The babies have taken to playing evening soccer games which makes digesting dinner particularly fun.  But with every day that passes I am more and more excited that they will be here soon.

QOTW:  Not packed yet.  I know, I know - you're thinking that I've lost my mind - especially with twins and a prior hospitalization shouldn't I be somewhat ready?  I have a list for the hospital bag done...it's just not packed yet.  I know I'm a repeat c-section too so the list does not include some items that others may want.  But I'm willing to share for anyone who needs this:

    Chapstick

    Hand lotion

    Hand sanitizer

    Cash/change for vending

    Cell phone & charger

    Camera & charger

    Call list

    Water bottle

    Underwear (for after c-section)

    Maternity clothing to leave hospital

    Comfortable bras - 2

Toiletry bag - hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant,
face wash, makeup, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, contact lens case and solution

    Towel

    Hairdryer

    Glasses

    Abdominal binder/ breast binder

    Hair ties

    Feminine pads

    Breast pads

    Robe

    High fiber snacks

    Bibs

    Burpcloths

    Laundry bag

    Hats for pictures

    Coming home outfits NB & 0-3 - 2

    Blankets - 2

Mini emery board (for baby fingernails)

    Gift from babies to DD

    Installed car seat

    Hello,
@kevinandjesse can you please add me to the check-in. I am 28w4d with boy/girl twins due on August 8.

I had an OB and MFM appt. on Monday. Boy was measuring 2lb13oz and the girl was 2lb8oz. I see the OB in 2 weeks and have growth scan at 32 weeks.

QOTD: I still have to buy a baby bag and then pack it.
  • 30 weeks yesterday, had my 3 hour glucose test this morning, no results yet but very boring! I had my shower this past Saturday which was sooo surreal, I guess this is really happening! We leave for New Orleans tomorrow for my brothers wedding so it's been a crazy busy week.

  • I think its my turn :) we are at 31w+4d - no appointments this week, but our appointment last week went great. Got to have our MW look over our birth plan. Everything looked good and very do-able. Never get tired of listening to that heartbeat! :) Things are going well... had a BH scare for a few hours on Monday, but subsided after an hour. The countdown is really on!

QOTW: Craziest/weirdest thing in your hospital bag?

    - This is where this weird QOTW came from lol my DH insisted on packing 4 different sizes (N-4) of diapers... he "just wants to be prepaired" haha our son is growing in the 20th percentile... III don't think we will be needing size 4 diapers. but who knows lol. I think it's cute

Welcome to those new to 3rd tri and congrats to anyone who has delivered their LO's!

Hi ladies.... I'm 31 weeks 3 days.  Had growth scan & cervical check this week.  Babies look great.  Have an NST next week.  Don't know why I'm nervous about that... but for some reason I really am.  Starting to feel out of breath a lot these days.  I feel like I'm the size of a house!

@lawmom747, thats a heck ova list!  I am going to use that as a guide for when I pack my bag!

QOTW:  Craziest/weirdest thing in your hospital bag?   Um.... don't have my bag packed yet!  Suppose I should!

  • Hey girls! 37 weeks and feeling good overall! Been a bit tired this week and having a little more pressure so I think she is getting lower. Had an appt today and all looked good, have a growth scan on Tuesday too just to check her measurements since she was measuring big but two doctors have said they don't think she will be big so I think her growth has evened out! Just impatiently waiting now for her arrival!

Qotw: bags are packed except for a few last minute things that will get thrown in...I don't think there is anything too weird or crazy in them!!

Missed the last checkin because I was giving birth to our little girl! Amelia Evelyn was born on Monday, May 18th at 1:46 pm. 7lb 3 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Contractions began Sunday at noon. We labored at home until midnight (long 12 hours!) before going to the hospital. Epidural took a few hours I kick in (it was only numbing half of me) but by 5:30 am, I was feeling Better and 6 cm dilated. Stalled a bit after and given pitocin, which helped me along to 10 cm by noon. After 20 minutes of pushing, baby girl was here
