Is snoring when you're awake a thing? I think I have that.
Dude, I totally snore when I'm awake now. I keep waiting for my coworkers besides me to ask if I'm sleeping at my desk. It usually happens when I'm sitting very still reading or going through loan docs or something like that, that makes my breathing get really slow and relaxed.
I'm so done with bladders issues. Why can't I just pee like a normal person. It turns out as baby drops he is also cutting off my access to my bladder with a catheter. They just gave me numbing lube and said try not to make a false opening or accidentally break your water!?!?
@fridaysdance it sounds like low sugar. Mine drops so low I pass out sometimes. I always cold sweat first and it does soak my hair at times. I'd ask for a glucose meter.
Kept waking up all night to cramps. Like can't move cramps. It didn't feel like contractions cause my stomach wasn't really tightening like BH but then again I'm a FTM so I have no clue what they "should" feel like. Woke up this morning and it was still happening. Only once I got up and moving i was getting a sharp pain in my lower back as well... I called my doctor just to be safe and he said to wait it out unless it becomes more consistent. I have my weekly appt tomorrow so we will see! It's still happening but not consistently. It's like twice an hour(ish). I'm now thinking it's definitely contractions cause I can't just walk it out. It stops me in my tracks. Downloaded a new timer on my phone cause the one I had sucked. So I'm now timing them and seeing what happens. Kinda nervous because I'm supposed to pick my brother up from the airport tomorrow after my appointment. My luck I'll go into labor....

My sugar is totally normal. They did a full workup after my crazy weekend.
My newest annoyance is watery brown discharge after the nap I just woke up from. They checked me this morning again and said I could spot but I had not problems with it the other night. I'm going to see if it lets up any and then call over there. I swear they must have let all of the crazies loose today to clog up the waiting rooms.
@amark11 so glad you mentioned the clicking. On Friday my LO was moving a ton and I heard it. It was pretty loud. I was like, "oh shit, he broke the water!" Lol. Glad I'm not the only one hearing things.
I don't think I have dropped yet. I'm carrying pretty high. @karaelaine1991 glad to read that you just now feel lower at 38 weeks. I'm 36 weeks this Thursday.
My lower back had been hurting on & off today and I'm exhausted. I'm a teacher and only about 3 weeks of school left. I was cleaning stuff out today and am worn out now!
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this... But if my baby is measuring smaller. (These past few weeks he's been on the small side) 25th percentile to be specific, does that mean he will be born later? Like 41 weeks or something? My doctor never said anything she just said if he gets in the 10th percentile then it's a problem. But I was just curious if anyone had a baby be born later because they were small? I plan on asking my doctor a little more about this but my next apt isn't until Friday.
Does anyone have severe hot flashes especially at night? I can't take it anymore!!
I'm having hot flashes right now. i have a sweater on because its 50 some degrees here today, with a tank top underneath. I am so close to taking off my sweater and just wearing my tank top, but totally not work appropriate. gah, 3 more hours of work today and feeling hot and gross. I think my belly is finally starting to pop. Through my whole pregnancy I have gotten the comments that I don't look far along at all, well at 36 weeks 1 day, i totally feel it today. And my maternity pants feel soooo tight! rant over.
@mellymar sorry you have so much stress added to your plate this week. That's no fun! Maybe try to shift your focus on, " I will go into labor after June X" instead of "please don't go into labor in the next two weeks!" It may help calm your subconscious. Having a backup plan is always a good thing. I have a backup to my backup plan now so I won't worry so much.
@devyns2nd the cath thing sounds so freaking painful add to that the anxiety of breaking your water?! Are you kidding me? You're a rockstar for being able to do that.
@thay33 the percentile your baby falls into is no indication of whether your baby will come later or not. If it's your first, chances are more on your side that you will be later? But no guarantee. They are probably concerned with her size and tracking her to make sure your placenta is still doing its job properly giving your LO sufficient nutrients. If she's not keeping up on her growth by the next one they may induce at some point to be able to provide her with the proper care and nutrients on the outside. Obviously I'm no doctor so this could be TOTALLY off, it's best to call your doc if you need reassurance. This is just my guess based on what you said. Maybe you just make smaller babies. I tend to make bigger ones. Gotta love genetics.
oh... where do I begin.. I have carpal tunnel on both hands but my left wrist is progressively getting worse. As I type right now, my L hand is tingling and my thumb is pretty much useless. I started to get stretch marks in the third trimester and they are itching like crazy!! I live in Florida and when I'm out in the heat it just gets worse. Starting this week (38), i have had intense pelvic pressure that it's hard to move around, sleep and depending on what angle I'm in, it's painful. I plan to work up until I have this baby, but I really don't know how I can do it for another 2 weeks.
I honestly thought you all were crazy to hear "clicking" coming from your belly, until I just heard mine do it. Wt??? Third pregnancy and I have NEVER heard this weird sound??
I talked to my OB about lower back/buttock pain. OB said its from bring active (exercise) I initially thought it was siatica but researched and believe its pelvic girdle pain. Ugh hurts more when i stand from sitting and tossing and turning in bed. OB said to use a heating pad but this only provides temporary relief. Anyone else experience this and what works for you?
@amccoy129 glad to offer reassurance! And even now I'm STILL not totally sure that she has. I think my bump looks a little lower, but it's not so low that I'm sure it is. I have needed to pee more often, but I'm not noticing a lot more pelvic pressure, though I am pretty stiff when I stand up. It's easier for me to breathe while sitting because her feet haven't been pushing against my ribs as much today, but I haven't noticed a difference while walking/standing.
So... I might have dropped? But I really have no idea. I'm going to ask my doctor to confirm if I have at my appointment on Friday
Feeling pretty good all in all. Still hasn't really hit me that I'm due in just over 2 weeks. I still feel like I have months to go, but time has been flying by. Cant complain tho, so excited to meet her!
Symptom wise, cant sleep, heartburn kills, lots of headaches, and hip pain/pressure. basically all the usual. The newest symptom is mild period like cramping. nothing too exciting.

Im a FTM, and my LO is measuring in the 12th percentile. But my doc suspects she will be a little early just small. They did a growth scan to make sure everything checked out and her development was good. She told me that if I go 2 days past my due date they will schedule an induction, but she doubted that would be the case. But just like everyone says there is no way to know when they will come. I just expect her to come late and if shes early then its a bonus
@lovethatcolosun thank you! That's a great idea. Gotta retrain my brain to look at it that way. Especially considering I didn't really have much worry about going early until I heard all of that.
ETA Not really a symptom, but I just woke up from essentially sleeping / spacing the day away. I had stuff I wanted to do today, but eff it. Time to go eat something and get ready for my baby care class in 2 hours

Had DH take my picture so I could compare this week to last week - it doesn't look like she's dropped yet. Oh well! I've been saying this whole time that I thought she'd be late so this is actually going along with my predictions. Guess we'll see what happens!
@mellymar I'm confident you won't go into labor in the next two week. The first thing you have going for you is that the vast majority of FTM's are late. The second thing you have going for you is all the stress! I have no scientific reasoning for this but I feel like your body won't relax and go into labor until it is ready and the stress of having your husband on duty will prevent that from happening. So relax about it, but not too much!
I feel like I spend the last 6 weeks of my first pregnancy worrying about going into labor any second. It wasn't fun. I second the lining up a backup plan if he does get stuck far way, this should lesson the stress, even realizing that its highly unlikely you'll need it. Feel better! Try to relax a little bit if you can.
I'm on the same boat as a lot of you ladies. I get really hot at all times of the day, not just at night. We bought a big fan and it literally follows me wherever I go in the house !
Swelling got so bad yesterday I just came home and cried. Officially the first time crying because of pregnancy this whole time...I thought I was going to stear clear of that, thought wrong lol
And last....my appetite has increased this week like crazy!! My husband has decided to go on a super eating healthy spree, which I normally have no problem with, but right now I just want to eat whatever I want!
I really hope all you ladies feel better and remember we're almost there!!
My leaky boobs are almost unreal at this point. Like, I feel guilty not feeding something with all this milk!!! None of my tees fit anymore at 35w2d so I wear hubby's and I guess I tend to stand with my arms crossed a lot when we talk (never noticed this until it became a nuisance lol) and he will get this look on his face and just stare so I look down and have GIANT wet spots on his shirts. He's grossed out by it, and while I'm not I'm very very shocked at how much I am producing already! We eat a paleo diet, so lots of fruits and veg and I guess that could be it from what I've read to up supply etc... I am very grateful it doesn't seem like I'll have an issue on my part with breastfeeding, but wow I didn't think I'd be blowing through all my nursing pads BEFORE baby even comes lol.

Just had a lactation consultant appointment today - you CAN use nipple protector things (I forget what they are called!) and save what you're producing now . . . sounds like you might not need it, though. Still, I'm guessing that just like if you aren't leaking it doesn't mean you'll have a problem, just because you are doesn't mean you won't! Good luck, I was leaking much more around 25 - 30 weeks but luckily that's slowed down a lot. It's a hassle!
@frogger5 I thought about pumping/saving it? I guess I will read up on that now! I have my BF class next Wednesday and was planning to bring it up then since my midwife just said congrats they work and to bust out the nursing pads to avoid a yeast infection on my breasts...

The LC actually recommended me to start hand expressing at 39 weeks as long as my OB is cool with it (have to ask on Thurs. when I see her), and somehow saving that. I don't know that I'll bother to save it; it seems like it'll be a tiny amount! How far along are you? I wouldn't pump without checking with your midwife first as I hear it can start things going prematurely. But just collecting what's coming out already can't hurt!

My girl has been below the 10th since 26 weeks (maybe earlier, who knows) and they're inducing on Friday at 38 + 5 because my placenta sucks at its job, and think she has a better chance of growing better on the outside than inside. I'm not a doctor, but if my experience tells you anything, both my mom's babies were early, and as of Monday (38 exactly) I was zero dilated and zero effaced, and I've yet to have ANY labor symptoms. I don't think size really effects when you begin labor.
@klkonwi & @frogger5 thanks ladies! I wasn't sure!!! I don't want to go into labor, everyone is surprised I've even kept him in this long. I guess I should say I am on vaginal suppositories of progesterone twice a day and strict bed rest because my water broke prematurely at 29 weeks... I guess it could be all the added hormones causing my milk to come in so strong so soon?? He's super active and squirmy and still breech. My fluid has built back up to a healthy level and we're avoiding a cesarean at this point because I'm not having contractions or much pain anymore. I'm way more hopeful that he'll be staying in till full term now so I will NOT be doing anything that might make him come early...
