IntelliGender

Morning mommies!

So yesterday a friend who is currently expecting exactly the same time as I, told me she had used IntelliGender to predict the gender of her unborn child (we are both 16 weeks). She said she used it with her first and it was accurate. She used it again this time and she believes it's accurate.

So curiousity got the best of me and I also purchased it and did the test at home. I'm so excited about the result and in my heart of hearts I believe they are accurate but I also want to wait for my 20 week scan for my Dr to confirm before telling the world and hubby (the gender is exactly what he wanted)

I have read testimonial on their site and nearly all the women that have used it (some even for all their multiple pregnancies) swear by it. Basically 90% say it's accurate.

Has anyone tried it here? With this current pregnancy and those before?

I came across it on amazon a while back. The reviews were not good, so I moved on.

As previous posters have stated there is nothing in your urine to indicate sex. Obviously testimonials can be faked, and statistics would state that they have to be right 50% of the time anyway. Wait until your anatomy scan to make big purchase decisions.
  • Never heard of this before but wouldn't trust it. Why purchase and use it if u are going to wait for your ultrasound anyways? That's a waste of money ...
  • I thought about it but I read a ton of reviews in it and more than 1/2 the time they were wrong. Test says it's about 85% accurate but I can't believe that. It also said it was just for fun and not to be taken seriously. Me personally, even though I want to know now... I am going to wait for medical professional to tell me.

  • I tried it. Said it was a girl. But was wrong. Ultrasound shows it is a boy. I was very happy to see results showed it was a girl as we have two boys already. But when doc confirmed it was actually a boy I was a bit upset at first but now very happy.

Haha I'm just like you I read a ton of great reviews and no so great ones. My husbands cousin did it with both of her little ones and it was right both times. I did get the test and I had a boy result but I'm not investing too much emotion into it. I think it's more just for fun than anything :) And I don't think "patience is a dying virtue" or "you need to work on your patience" you're excited! And I definitely don't blame/judge you for that
  • I'm doing an elective ultrasound at a clinic at 16 weeks to find out if we are expecting a boy or girl and it's only $50. They said it will be 90-99% accurate.... But it definitely is more accurate than one of those home tests. Maybe you could look around your area to see if you can find one of those places?
  • Save yourself the $s on Intelligender and buy some diapers or clothes for the baby.  I don't trust anything that tells me I can pee on a stick to find out the gender.  My goodness so much impatience on N15.
