I am craving chocolate. So much chocolate. I made a pan of brownies 2 days ago and it's already gone. I'm kind of disgusted with myself! It's an obsession. The bump says that our babies are peeing a pint of urine a day. While I am peeing an ocean..... Thanks Obama! My "macne" is out of control on my back. hope ALL ladies have a good day..... Including special people who want their own thread for each and every mundane problem in their lives. Carry on.......
A little stressed and tired this morning. FIL is in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs and was apparently very close to having a heart attack over the past couple days. He blacked out last night and MIL finally convinced him to go to the ER. Around 3 this morning they transferred him to Atlanta and DH left to go. Now we're waiting to see what course of action and treatment is most suitable. I was hoping to sleep in this morning since I have a doctor's appointment at 8:45 but pregsomnia is kicking my butt. I guess that includes someone elses symptoms but it sort of contributes to mine, so. Prayers appreciated!

Oh, how scary. What a relief he made it to the hospital on time and DH can be with his father. Prayers your way, definitely.
Amid the usual symptoms, two things jump out at me today:
a) RLP is more intense now than it has been my whole pregnancy. I suppose it's time, but I have this lingering cough, either from my cold last week or from all the pollen in the air, and it is brutal on my stomach. Rolling over in bed and bending down really hurt, too. I can and continue to do both, but it is not comfortable, and I grunt and groan pathetically.
b) I had a lot of BH in second trimester, which were very noticeable and not always comfortable. Lately I think I have been having them, but they don't feel so different than baby movement - though about two weeks ago, I posted on one of these threads that for me, BH and baby movement were very distinct.
Hope the rest of our ladies wake up feeling good today. I have a few threads I want to start, but don't want to dominate... I think it is time for a Good Vibes thread again. And also, I always love the FFFC and FFFQ threads.
Spent most of the night awake between bathroom runs, hip pains, nausea, back pain, lightning crotch, and what I think was mild contractions. Nothing was regular enough to keep track of so I'm gonna try to watch it this morning. Our hospital isn't too fond of admitting low risk patients until things are more regular, which I get. The hubs went to work so we didn't have to kill another sick day with false alarms but they will start his leave early if I get bad enough to be hospitalized.
RLP is getting worse for me, too, @amark11! I can actually feel my left joint popping when I roll over on it in bed. Not fun, and kind of scary.
DH and I toured the hospital last night as a part of our (entirely too long) prenatal class. I then had the weirdest dream about delivering there - involved almost delivering in a pool shower stall the size of my closet and demanding that I be taken to one of the nice rooms from the tour lol. Also, my FIL had a second ex-wife: Phoebe from Friends! And she brought her new husband, a hobo named Ted who kept calling her Ma and was not impressed at all with my cervical dilation. WTF. At least I can rest assured that my real labor and delivery will be nothing like that!
Also, the nurse who led the class is totally contributing to some of the ignorance about labor... She told our class that if you're 1-3 cm dilated, you WILL deliver within 12-24 hours. I don't know if that's what she actually meant (I seriously hope not!), but that is what she communicated to our group. Yikes.
@KarasTwin sending love and prayers. Glad he listened to your MIL and went to be checked out. I hope they get things settled with him soon.
This symptom has been mentioned before maybe a month ago and I hadn't really given it much thought until I woke up and drank my morning cup of ice cold tea. Are you ready.... Wait for it.... Taint hiccups! I have had baby hiccups all the time three or four times a day and they have always been low but this morning I feel them in my bottom area! Whoever came up with that term has a way with words because that's exactly what it feels like.. Also more and more period like cramps and somewhat painful contractions that only last about 30 seconds. Some spotting nothing major but I'm sure that's from the cervical check I had two days ago... I don't think I will allow any more. They hurt to bad and the information given is of no use to me at this point. Hips are tender and feels good to sway side to side sometimes. My MIL also said I had "the look" I guess my lips are fuller and the nose has been spreading!!
I agree about the BH and baby movement. Seems like I get an uncomfortable BH and then baby moves. At least she is all the way down and I don't feel her feet in ribs anymore. Oh and the BH that I am having are definitely coming on more and more. Especially when I stand up or bend over or turn to fast. My DH thought I was tending my ab muscles..ummm what ab muscles.
FTM, 37weeks here. Wildest dreams. Tons of discomfort in sleeping and instincts is so strong now. Like, I don't want to drive any where and wants to stay home! BH is there and there...it goes away when I'm resting >-
@kissell so good to hear that someone else is having random 30 sec BH. I had some last night for 2-3 hours & I was internally freaking out. Taking it easy today with plenty of water! Y'all I slept HARD last night after all that & didn't get up even to pee from 11pm-630am!!! Yay!! @klkonwi chocolate. Yes. & cereal.
I feel the need to "whine" to you ladies today. My back is killing me, no way I move is making it better, I feel all crampy and I'm tired. Tired of being pregnant and hormonal, tired of working, and just plain tired! I'm so ready to have this baby but I feel like there is no end in sight! Sorry for the negativity ladies.
I've been waking up with cramped up arches but just in my left foot, weird huh? Not painful, just feels like it needs to be walked on for a little bit. I have insanely high arches...so who knows if that has anything to do with it???
@klkonwi Special K Chocolately delight cereal is a little tough to find but totally worth it for a guilt free chocolate treat!!
In similar sweet tooth symptoms, i swear my DH cravings are worse than mine. We went to get some cookies and milk at CVS last night and we left with Peanut Butter Cup Chips Ahoy, Mega Stuff Oreos, Nutter Butters, Whoppers (TOTALLY NOT FOR ME, whoppers are nasty.. DH is weird), raisenets and red vines. How am i supposed to keep my cravings in check when i'm married to willy wonka?!
Other than my impending diabetes, my rib pain is at an all time high. Also, i'm hating how tight my belly gets at night. I'm pretty sure some of you mentioned feeling that too but it's so uncomfortable feeling like my skin is gonna rip.

Is he at St. Joseph's? My dad went there and they took excellent care of him! Praying for you, and wherever he is, you'll be in good hands in that big city. Positive thoughts headed your way.

I have the worst cramps in just my right foot toes. No idea why. Other symptoms include reflux and sciatic nerve pain.
Also, it was crazy to wake up to so many birth announcements. It's all happening!
So happy to be able to commiserate here witht you gals.
Back pain, RLP, peeing all the time (and if I don't tend to it in 5 minutes, it frigging HURTS), joint pain in my hands, and having serious trouble bending over, reaching, and rolling out of bed.
Although, hubby made this amazing orzo pasta salad last night and he said I had no problem getting off the couch with a spring in my step!
I try not to complain much but the swelling is really getting to me! My ankles are now the size of my calf and my feet are puffy.... Nothing seems to help. My hands aren't as bad but that's getting worse as the time goes on too.
I'm just 35 weeks! I'm thinking it is going to get worse before it gets better. : \
Trying to leave the house but it's a little tough with constant diarrhea. I farted last night and I kid you not it lingered for 5+ minutes. DH (who, bless his heart, is tolerable of everything) moved to the other side of the couch.

Still no Braxton Hicks (some other posted recently said she thinks they are made up since she hasn't had any either - I'm with you, girl!)
No acid reflux last night either! It's a miracle! I figured out the culprit was eating Indian food the two preceding nights. Duh, what was I thinking?
I am still having worsening RLP though, making it tough to move without grunting.
So yeah, for me this is a low-symptom day and I am working from home to be a little more comfy. Haters come at me, lol. I think we can all use a low-symptom day every once in a while right now.
I'll go start the "Happy" thread lol.
@karastwin will be thinking of you and your family today!
Had a cervical exam yesterday (not a comfortable thing btw), and lost my MP last night/this morning. Spent a couple hours online trying to figure out what it means only to find that it may not mean anything for a FTM like myself and I may still be weeks away. Now I'm a little sore and crampy from the exam yesterday too. Going to make for a great day at work!
On the upside, we finally have the baby's room painted and I can spend some time this weekend doing 'nesting' activities!
Horrible acid reflux off and on all night and some mild nausea this morning. What would make my Friday happy? I WANT TO POOP. Other than constipation, I think I've been loosing parts of my mucus plug so I'm prepared to bombard my OB with questions later today for my-get this-third doctors appointment this week. Dear Lord, please let them induce me on Monday! [-O<
I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow with twins. Feeling a lot of BH's this morning. Getting worried! Starting to time them the next one I get. What did your doctors say about BH's and when to call in?

Thanks! He's actually at Piedmont which I know nothing about. When I talked to DH earlier he said that the doctors are optimistic and he's having the cath between 2 and 3
@tdotson0722 My doctor always says the Braxton hicks are fake contractions anyways. There is no need to count them or keep track. It's the real contractions that need to be timed. If your trying to figure out which is which I have found in my own experience that with BH its usually just a very hard belly/uterus and sometimes there is a slight tingle but not always and it's down fright uncomfortable but not painful. I have had a few real deal contractions and it's completely different to me. It's more lower/mid belly and it's like a period cramp along with a huge gas pain cramp and it's for real painful! You need to track those especially if the pain gets stronger and you notice it happening more and more. I hope that helps.
@KarasTwin I'm glad things are looking optimistic! Thinking of you!
I'm like a broken record on the symptoms thread, but I'm tired. Like bone aching tired. I can't wait until work is over so I can go home and lay down. I think I'm having Braxton hicks more frequently. I wasn't sure that's what they were, but after talking to my doctor, I'm pretty sure now. Looking forward to relaxing and finishing the nursery this weekend!
@kissell thanks! They don't hurt and are in the middle of my belly and just feels tight when they happen. I haven't had any real contractions yet that hurt.
I'm jealous of all you that have "lost their appetite" and can't eat much lately... Because I'm STARVING...all the time! Like bottomless pit starving... Eating non-stop :@)
I'm having pretty intense back pain that is constant. Combined with my uterus pressing against my rib cage I am not a happy camper right now. Any remedies to help me get through the the work day?
Last night DH rubbed a tennis ball over my back which helped at the time but not long term. I try to avoid medications in general but may be looking into Tylenol for relief... I tried a warm bath the other night and that did not help either. Any suggestions appreciated! TIA!
I am still feeling pretty good for 36 weeks... definitely starting to feel more tired and slow down a bit. I woke up in the middle of the night with the itchiest palms and feet. They itchy palms went away but my feet are still wicked itchy. I called the Dr. and they had me come in for some blood test to look at liver/bile function. They want to rule out Cholestasis. They said they should hopefully have the lab work back by Monday but the lab told me by the end of the day most likely. I have my weekly appointment Monday but am going to call at the end of the day today to ask about the results. It's making me anxious!
So, I'm sleepwalking apparently. Didn't realize it was a pregnancy symptom, but it is for me. Either, I'm sleepwalking or the house is haunted. Lol. There is unexplained food on our kitchen counters when I wake up in the morning. This morning it was instant mashed potatoes, butter, and cream cheese. Only the potato flakes were opened. And earlier this week there were coffee grounds everywhere and neither my husband or I made coffee recently. I just hope I don't do anything dangerous to hurt my baby.
I am having REALLY bad hip pain today. Before it would be one hip at a time but today it's both hips. It hurts when I sit, it's a little better when I stand but laying down is the best. Since I'm at work I can't lay down. I keep saying I need a bed behind my desk so I can lay down and wait on customers from my bed but I don't think my boss would go for that haha

I sleep talk and text, even when I'm not pregnant. I could absolutely see myself waking up in a fog, having the munchies and getting some food, going back to sleep and totally forgetting all about it, only to discover the evidence the next morning and being totally spooked. My problem (I believe) is I am actually half awake, but asleep enough to forget and remain forgotten, even when confronted with evidence. Either that or yes, I'm also sleep doing stuff
I'm jealous of all you that have "lost their appetite" and can't eat much lately... Because I'm STARVING...all the time! Like bottomless pit starving... Eating non-stop :@)
Me too!!!! Bad storm woke me up in the middle of the night (in addition to the peeing and constant pain) and I was starving! I ate 4 waffles.
Today was actually the first good day I've had in a while! I was able to do some nesting and didn't experience any of the extreme lethargy I've been feeling this week. Must have been the McDonald's breakfast!
I'm feeling pretty good today and totally gorged on the Krispy Kremes someone brought in. I get BH now every time I change from sitting to standing. They're getting uncomfortable. My doc made me stop running when I started having contractions. Why didn't I get the same limit on housework? :P
@bbnmama2012 my sleepwalking has gotten worse in pregnancy too. But thankfully I'm a light sleeper so I wake myself up often and I've only just gotten outside my room. Have you tried putting a bell or something on your door knob? There are alarms you can put on your doorknob that are motion activated in case you're nervous about doing dangerous things.
