@KarasTwin prayers headed ! That is stressful. I hope everything gets resolved.
  • Spent most of the night awake between bathroom runs, hip pains, nausea, back pain, lightning crotch, and what I think was mild contractions. Nothing was regular enough to keep track of so I'm gonna try to watch it this morning. Our hospital isn't too fond of admitting low risk patients until things are more regular, which I get. The hubs went to work so we didn't have to kill another sick day with false alarms but they will start his leave early if I get bad enough to be hospitalized.

Holy leg cramp last night! I woke up screaming in pain... It lasted a while... Ugh... But I am off on Fridays so yay!
  • FTM, 37weeks here. Wildest dreams. Tons of discomfort in sleeping and instincts is so strong now. Like, I don't want to drive any where and wants to stay home! BH is there and there...it goes away when I'm resting :)>-
  • @kissell so good to hear that someone else is having random 30 sec BH. I had some last night for 2-3 hours & I was internally freaking out. Taking it easy today with plenty of water!
Y'all I slept HARD last night after all that & didn't get up even to pee from 11pm-630am!!! Yay!!
    @klkonwi chocolate. Yes. & cereal.

    Hope everyone has a Fri-YAY!
  • I've been waking up with cramped up arches but just in my left foot, weird huh? Not painful, just feels like it needs to be walked on for a little bit. I have insanely high arches...so who knows if that has anything to do with it???

A little stressed and tired this morning. FIL is in the hospital with blood clots in his lungs and was apparently very close to having a heart attack over the past couple days. He blacked out last night and MIL finally convinced him to go to the ER. Around 3 this morning they transferred him to Atlanta and DH left to go. Now we're waiting to see what course of action and treatment is most suitable. I was hoping to sleep in this morning since I have a doctor's appointment at 8:45 but pregsomnia is kicking my butt. I guess that includes someone elses symptoms but it sort of contributes to mine, so. Prayers appreciated!

Is he at St. Joseph's? My dad went there and they took excellent care of him! Praying for you, and wherever he is, you'll be in good hands in that big city. Positive thoughts headed your way.

I have the worst cramps in just my right foot toes. No idea why. Other symptoms include reflux and sciatic nerve pain.

Also, it was crazy to wake up to so many birth announcements. It's all happening!

    Happy Friday, everyone!
  • TGIF!!!

I try not to complain much but the swelling is really getting to me!  My ankles are now the size of my calf and my feet are puffy.... Nothing seems to help. My hands aren't as bad but that's getting worse as the time goes on too.

I'm just 35 weeks! I'm thinking it is going to get worse before it gets better.  : \

  • Had a cervical exam yesterday (not a comfortable thing btw), and lost my MP last night/this morning. Spent a couple hours online trying to figure out what it means only to find that it may not mean anything for a FTM like myself and I may still be weeks away. Now I'm a little sore and crampy from the exam yesterday too. Going to make for a great day at work!
On the upside, we finally have the baby's room painted and I can spend some time this weekend doing 'nesting' activities!
  • I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow with twins. Feeling a lot of BH's this morning. Getting worried! Starting to time them the next one I get. What did your doctors say about BH's and when to call in?

Thanks! He's actually at Piedmont which I know nothing about. When I talked to DH earlier he said that the doctors are optimistic and he's having the cath between 2 and 3

@tdotson0722 My doctor always says the Braxton hicks are fake contractions anyways. There is no need to count them or keep track. It's the real contractions that need to be timed. If your trying to figure out which is which I have found in my own experience that with BH its usually just a very hard belly/uterus and sometimes there is a slight tingle but not always and it's down fright uncomfortable but not painful. I have had a few real deal contractions and it's completely different to me. It's more lower/mid belly and it's like a period cramp along with a huge gas pain cramp and it's for real painful! You need to track those especially if the pain gets stronger and you notice it happening more and more. I hope that helps.

@KarasTwin I'm glad things are looking optimistic! Thinking of you!

I'm like a broken record on the symptoms thread, but I'm tired. Like bone aching tired. I can't wait until work is over so I can go home and lay down. I think I'm having Braxton hicks more frequently. I wasn't sure that's what they were, but after talking to my doctor, I'm pretty sure now. Looking forward to relaxing and finishing the nursery this weekend!
  • @kissell thanks! They don't hurt and are in the middle of my belly and just feels tight when they happen. I haven't had any real contractions yet that hurt.
  • I'm having pretty intense back pain that is constant. Combined with my uterus pressing against my rib cage I am not a happy camper right now. Any remedies to help me get through the the work day?

Last night DH rubbed a tennis ball over my back which helped at the time but not long term. I try to avoid medications in general but may be looking into Tylenol for relief... I tried a warm bath the other night and that did not help either. Any suggestions appreciated! TIA!

I am still feeling pretty good for 36 weeks... definitely starting to feel more tired and slow down a bit.  I woke up in the middle of the night with the itchiest palms and feet.  They itchy palms went away but my feet are still wicked itchy.  I called the Dr. and they had me come in for some blood test to look at liver/bile function.  They want to rule out Cholestasis.  They said they should hopefully have the lab work back by Monday but the lab told me by the end of the day most likely.  I have my weekly appointment Monday but am going to call at the end of the day today to ask about the results.  It's making me anxious!
  • I am having REALLY bad hip pain today.  Before it would be one hip at a time but today it's both hips.  It hurts when I sit, it's a little better when I stand but laying down is the best.  Since I'm at work I can't lay down.  I keep saying I need a bed behind my desk so I can lay down and wait on customers from my bed but I don't think my boss would go for that haha
  • So, I'm sleepwalking apparently. Didn't realize it was a pregnancy symptom, but it is for me. Either, I'm sleepwalking or the house is haunted. Lol. There is unexplained food on our kitchen counters when I wake up in the morning. This morning it was instant mashed potatoes, butter, and cream cheese. Only the potato flakes were opened. And earlier this week there were coffee grounds everywhere and neither my husband or I made coffee recently. I just hope I don't do anything dangerous to hurt my baby.

I sleep talk and text, even when I'm not pregnant. I could absolutely see myself waking up in a fog, having the munchies and getting some food, going back to sleep and totally forgetting all about it, only to discover the evidence the next morning and being totally spooked. My problem (I believe) is I am actually half awake, but asleep enough to forget and remain forgotten, even when confronted with evidence. Either that or yes, I'm also sleep doing stuff

Today was actually the first good day I've had in a while! I was able to do some nesting and didn't experience any of the extreme lethargy I've been feeling this week. Must have been the McDonald's breakfast!

I'm feeling pretty good today and totally gorged on the Krispy Kremes someone brought in. I get BH now every time I change from sitting to standing. They're getting uncomfortable. My doc made me stop running when I started having contractions. Why didn't I get the same limit on housework? :P
  • @bbnmama2012 my sleepwalking has gotten worse in pregnancy too. But thankfully I'm a light sleeper so I wake myself up often and I've only just gotten outside my room. Have you tried putting a bell or something on your door knob? There are alarms you can put on your doorknob that are motion activated in case you're nervous about doing dangerous things.
