Pregnant after 35

my painting project

So I know my never doing anything common or ordinary is probably a sickness...I mean how many women who are 34 weeks pregnant even attempt to paint a couple coats of one color on a huge room...I paint a couple coats each of 3 colors....Then paint a whole room mural that takes a week and involves crawling, squatting, climbing ladders etc....

ANyways this is a boys' room.  Hoping to get the trim painted tomorrow and this weekend get everything back into the room and out of my living room, hallway etc.  They have a walk in closet but I did that plain blue because once you load it with clothes and dressers etc you can't see much wall at all.  I may end up adding more to the walls once the furniture is in its exact place (I have to buy another dresser or two also) if there is some bare spots seen.

Now time to start the next project.....

That looks great!  You are super talented!

And here I am questioning whether or not I can handle painting one wall in the new house pink in the nursery, lol

That is way more ambitious than I've been. :)  I've done a couple projects but nothing to that extent.  it looks great!  My husband won't ever let me paint.  He thinks he's the only one that should paint but I actually don't think he does that awesome of a job.  But I don't tell him that. lol

Nicely done! I'm crazy too. With our first we were working on the house we had just bought and on my due date I spent all night after work painting the entire downstairs. I felt perfectly fine though. I would have gone back the following day except I had a Dr. appointment that afternoon and they sent me straight to L&D because apparently I was completely dilated and effaced, the water just hadn't broken yet.

    Good work.

I'm not artistic when it comes to room decorating, so I admire anyone who a) goes that to that kind of effort and b) can pull of that kind of finished product.

I agree!  You are very talented!  I'm looking for ideas for my little boys room (he is 2).   The room seems so stark and boring so I was thinking of putting a "scene" on the walls.  I can't free paint so I was thinking of wall stencils.  Then, I was shopping the other day at the boys depot and they do have some wall stencils but they also have entire scenes (monkey's, animals etc.) that are just kids wall decals so you just peel them off a sheet and stick them on the wall and they are not damaging to the wall.  Some are fabric so you can actually move them.   I think I'm going to go for the wall decals!  I've chosen a farm scene (attached).    I'd love to see your project when you are all finished (the entire room).  :)    Good luck and be careful doing all that work when you are pregnant!

i have never used fabric wall decals before.  I have had some vinyl ones and liked them a lot.  The farm theme would be real cute.

That looks so fun! I would love to get started on all that fun stuff, but I'm only 6w, so I'll wait at least two more months before I start planning anything~ right now, I see your mural and I'm just exhausted!! Lol
