I am a little superstitious, but thought it might be fun to capture some of our wishes for the home stretch or birth.  What do you find yourself praying, hoping, wishing for?

My insurance changes June 1, and the new insurance will be infinitely better.  LO is due June 5, and I am reallllyyyy hoping s/he comes on or after June 1.  Hoping this doesn't jinx me...

I wish that my son arrives during the window my mom plans to visit or she has time to catch a flight. I wish this for her sake, she was not able to visit or help with my first until he was a year and a half. She was selflessly carrying for my Dad until he passed away but I know she harbors some Mom guilt for not being there. Secretly I loved the space but I want her to get to be here now. Hard wish since he's coming when he's ready.

I am wishing for a less traumatic birth. Fear of delivery has made bonding with this baby hard. I wish it was over already.

I'm hoping to make it to June 24th. I'm due on the 27th. I really have no idea what labor is like because I had a scheduled c-section with my twins at 38 weeks. I never really dilated at all either. And I have GD...so hoping everything stays under control until the 24th.

there seems to be a lot of confusion among my medical personnel as to baby's position. The midwife I saw yesterday said he was transverse which I have thought for some time now based on where I think I feel his head. She sent me over to radiology immediately to have an ultrasound, and the tech said he is completely head down! I don't want to do an external version, so my wish is that baby will position himself properly on his own if he hasn't already. I really don't want a c

I'm scheduled for a repeat C-section on June 1st in case I don't go into labor on my own. I had a rough recovery with my first so I wish that I go into labor before the 1st and that I have a successful VBAC!

I wish my hemorrhoid would get better and even go away cause I can't walk or do anything right now( it's even hard to pee!) I also wish that if it doesn't that it won't even my labor. I also pray my daughter will be healthy and have an easy delivery.

I'm also wishing for a post-June 1st arrival. I get my annual cost of living adjustment then so my disability payment would be slightly increased.

Wishing for enough time to prepare for LO's arrival in the next few weeks (so baby better stay in there till June 2 at least!) and a labor& delivery that are as smooth as my pregnancy have been!

I wish the next watermelon I buy will be sweeter than the one I just finished... I mean I ate it in it's entirety but it wasn't as good as it should be.

Wishing for a healthy baby who arrives after a 7-10 hour smooth labor (my first was 45 hrs so anything shorter than that would be much appreciated) and during the day so my parents have time to make it over the mountain to watch DS. Also it'd be cool if she was born on the 21st, because a solstice baby would be awesome.

I'm wishing to make it to my due date! My company is doing really well in sales and if I have to go on maternity leave early I won't get my bonus. Gimme dat bonus!

Wishing for DS to actually come a little after his EDD (as long as it's safe) so we can close on our house before he gets here! Also wishing for another short uncomplicated labor for myself and everyone else

Wishing that they really will send me off to be induced on Monday (my fluids are .3 from being considered dangerously low) and hoping that whenever they do induce me that it goes smoothly and that LO will arrive with no compilations, just happy and little.

I'm also wishing for a post June 1st baby. I get 2 extra weeks paid parental leave if she does and more pay for another week. I also wish that I felt like I could breathe normally the pressure I've been feeling on my lungs is freaking me out. So much so that I'm trying anything to stay distracted. I also wish all the mommas here healthy happy babies.

I'm hoping he stays put till EDD so I can keep building up personal time at work. If I can work up till the 26th (even just part of the day) I'll only be 5 hours short of the 7 days I have to use before my short term disability kicks in. That would put me at being able to take 7 weeks off with him. I don't want to have to take any time off before because I want to spend it with him. I also pray that I can successfully deliver with no complications and epidural free. Hopefully we all have smooth, trauma free labors and deliveries and all our prayers and wishes come true

@Serenamarr I'm in a similar situation, except there's no question mine is transverse and my doc will not perform an external version even if I was game for one.

I'm praying he turns on his own and I've been doing all kinds of crazy positions to encourage it without any luck so far. I am terrified at the the thought of a c-section. My doc says he'll schedule one for 38 weeks if baby hasn't turned by then because of the risk of cord prolapse if I go into labor on my own.

I am in the same situation. I am hoping baby will turn soon! Otherwise they will attempt a version between 38 and 39 weeks. And if it is successful induce me and if it is not successful I get a c/s. I really don't want a c/s either.

Hopefully our babies will turn soon!

i hope/pray that i dont end up with PPD, i already struggle with regular depression and such.
also praying for a safe and easy delivery and that LO with be perfectly healthy.
and just general success as a new mom

I'm hoping that my induction will go smoothly! I've seen many 3/4 day inductions and failed inductions, i really want to be able to experience a vaginal birth! And of course have a health baby!
