Membrane stripped

I am 39 weeks and 4 days, yesterday at 5pm I had my membrane stripped by my doctor. She said I am around 2.5cm and not very effaced. I am scheduled to be induced Monday at 4am but I was wondering what the odds were of going naturally with the help of the membrane strip? I had awful cramps right after and through the night but today by much cramping, a little here and there. No spotting either! I also lost my mucus plug Friday! I'm so anxious!!

I didn't have any luck with having my membranes stripped with my previous two pregnancies and was induced with both. Some people it works great for though! Maybe you'll be lucky

I was almost 42 weeks but I had my son within 24 hours if my membrane sweep. I'm always wary of doctors that do it before 40 weeks...

I had mine done twice before I went into active labor. Once on that monday, and then again on Wednesday morning.. we were back in the hospital that night and had baby the next afternoon! I was at 39 weeks, 3cm dilated and 70% effaced when they did the sweep.
Edited to add: we were also told to go home and dtd after the second sweep because it encourages the uterus to contract. Needless to say it worked lol

I had mine stripped with DS in 2008 at 38 weeks.  I did go into labor naturally but it was a week later. I have no idea if the stripping of the membranes prompted labor or not.  

Good luck!! I'm hoping not to make it to 40 weeks. I think I might explode. My belly button feels like it's going to split open and my hips hurt so bad it brings me to tears at night. I am MORE than ready.  I did schedule a maternity  massage tomorrow.  I'm hoping they press away on all those pressure points on your feet that can induce labor. Bring it on. I am ready.

I think if it's going to work then it's going to happen in the first 12-24hrs. I had mine stripped 3-4x with my first 2 pregnancies and I ended up being induced past due with both.
