I found most of mine at Old Navy and also ended up just buying the "tall" versions on sale at Ann Taylor. I got a total of 8 dresses, four sweaters and a couple of t-shirts. I also got three pairs of leggings and a pair of Old Navy jeans (which have held up remarkably well considering they're in the wash very frequently). I did look at Motherhood Maternity and a couple of other specialized stores but couldn't justify the price -- the fit and quality were actually poorer than at the "regular" stores.
I also had a couple of forgiving dresses that continue to "fit" (or if not exactly fit, at least I was able to put them on).
The dresses at Old Navy were surprisingly formal - I've worn two of them to work a lot and gotten many compliments. They're made of imitation silk, and were $15 each. I doubt they'll last past another (hand) wash or two, but for $30, they were well worth it.
I like Old Navy.. I will say that most of what I've ordered from Old Navy has run a little bit big. That's where I've gotten most of my maternity stuff. I've heard the Loft has some nice things too but I haven't actually ordered from them myself. I've ordered from Gap too and I like their stuff too.
Almost all of my stuff is from Old Navy, because they are cheap and several locations near me sell maternity clothes in the store, which is important to me, because I hate buying clothes online without being able to try them on. I also have a couple of things from the second-hand/consignment store Clothes Mentor. They have locations in many states, and most have a maternity section in them, so you can get stuff for pretty cheap.
Well, I am a cheapo, lol, and got most of mine from Goodwill. I found a nice pair of black pants there as well as a pair of jeans, gray cargo pants and shorts. Also got about six cute tops and a nice black dress.
Also scored a few nice pieces at a yard sale. (Did I mention I am a cheapo, lol?)
I did buy two new pairs of stretchy pants at Target. Their maternity stuff seems to fit me well, though I am a size 14 and only 5'3".
Add me to the Cheapo club! ALthough this is my 8th baby, I needed some new tops and some warm weather clothes like capris and shorts. I also like to wear skirts so wanted more of those too. I have visited Goodwill several times and found some great finds. Now that its warmer and garage sales are back starting up, I am picking up a few items to get me thought the last few weeks.
I am 5 ' 11" so I get the tall thing.
I have purchased things from Old Navy, Walmart, Target, Motherhood, Destination Maternity, JCPenny, Gap....hmm where else Oh Pinkblush.com
Walmart things are often not great quality but they will wear through one pregnancy for sure. THat Pink Blush has some great styles (I find things sometimes run a bit small) but they are not great quality as well. The cottons pill after a few washes and I had a couple things fall apart at the seams for no real reason. So I suggest you get items that you don't plan on wearing a whole lot. They can have real good sales. I would NOT pay their full prices for sure.
I got most stuff from Goodwill, too! It was nice to just grab everything that was in my size and in new/nearly new condition - have been happy that I've pretty much been able to wear everything at least a couple times. Also got a few things at Walmart and Old Navy clearance. My big splurge was a $40 maternity swim suit.

I buy my clothes at Motherhood Maternity. The girls there are so friendly and go out of their way to help me with hard to find sizes because I need plus size clothes..... due to my boobs, lol. I've seen alot of nice tops, etc.... on Amazon. I wish there was an Old Navy near me with a maternity department but not all stores carry them yet.
I got more than half of my maternity clothes from a kids/maternity consignment store. They were having a 60% off sale one day and I loaded up. The rest are from Gap, Old Navy, Motherhood, and a Liz Lange (Target) trench coat. Gap and Old Navy often have sales so just wait until they do.
