    It's heartbreaking to lose her.
  • **Update and thank you all so much!

My doctor thinks maybe it's just the placenta moving and things like that. She couldn't find the heartbeat on the dopler but she wasn't suprized by that. She offered to send us to the hospital for a u/s. We declined. She said it's not going to change anything just tell us where we are today. And if something happens we can't stop it...(I don't want the stress of driving to the hospital and dealing with being at the hospital today).
They didn't do any other test. I was surprised by that.
No "sexual activity" until the bleeding stops. (that won't be a problem) and no heavy lifting.
I ask what she considers heavy and she said 10# or more! (fyi, I will have to clean out my purse.) I thought 30 or more so I'm glad I asked.
She is concern about me needing the rhogam shot. But she said I won't get that until the second trimester. (did not know that before).

Still have my next appointment on the June 5, I guess we'll know more then.

Again, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, PRAYERS, AND WELL WISHES!

One comment on RhoGAM... If you have a negative blood type you need it in the second trimester. But you also need it if you have a miscarriage because (potentially) positive baby's blood could mix with your negative blood and cause your body to make antibodies against pos blood. This could be harmful to your next pregnancy, causing your body to attack the baby. I also have a negative blood type and my dr says to call them immediately if I have ANY bleeding so I can get the shot. I've had to have it twice before with both my miscarriages. Just keep that in mind and FX everything works out!
  • @cards10
Thank you for the information. I wondered about that myself but it sounds like my doctors plan is that I will have the shot at the time of a miscarrage or in the second trimester only.
Not sure what to think about that. I think she is opperating on the theory of "what will be will be".

I'd like to say I trust my doctors opinion but I've had bad experiences with other doctors so admittedly, I have trust issues.

My fear is that she thinks I'm going to loose the baby and she isn't telling me. They didn't even draw blood today. I know they have nothing to compare it to but I thought they would as a comparison for later.

She just said if I have cramps she would like me to go to the ER.

My husband was with me and he even said he was suprize by the lack of testing. He even mentioned the lack of a urine sample himself afterwards....

I also wonder if it's because my insurance doesn't take effect until June 1. But surely they would put my baby first before things like that......

  • I just had a friend post this link on FB, and it was just what I needed today.

  • @Beckah31 thank you I needed that

@Beckah31 that was beautiful. Thank you for posting it.
  • @BostonBaby1
Thank you so much. I am praying for you as well.
Today you are my hero. I know it sounds silly but with everything I know you have going on, for you to take a minute to pray for me.. I hope I can be half the woman you are and even half as strong, No matter the outcome.
  • @BostonBaby1 that takes a lot of strength and shows what an amazing woman you are. There is always hope, even in the darkest hour. Not thinking this was possible kept me from trying made me believe I'd never get what my parents have said I wanted since I was a toddler myself. Letting go took too many years, and I don't know how you find the strength, you truly are amazing!!!

As worried as I am about my pregnancy but I'm more worried for those who lose what they wanted so badly. I lost my innocence very young and only discuss my misses miscarriage, the chemical pregnancies if I thought about them, I'd probably break...

Thank you for your support and kindness. The truth is that you are an incredibly brave and strong woman... Everyone PGAL has to be. It means we're willing to take an emotional risk in order to get our rainbows. It's an admirable trait to say the least and I pray that we all get the calm in the midst of the storm... Odds are that these rainbows are coming and even for myself (though it will take some more time) holding those babies in our arms will make it all worthwhile.

Push the fear and the anxiety aside as best as you can and know that you are brave and strong and will be wonderful mothers. I can't wait to see pictures of all the December rainbows!
  • @BostonBaby1 after a bad day and so much stress over my ultrasound tomorrow to top off the weekend from hell, you made me cry in a good way thank you. So screen shooting this for bad days
  • Had my 3rd scan, low chance of Down syndrome, baby was moving around like crazy made me feel so good. Unfortunately got the news of with my blood flow patterns and my sister's history of preeclampsia, I'm on baby aspirins for the duration of my pregnancy. At least they know early so I can attempt (key word attempt) to prevent it.
  • kimb311kimb311 member
@susiaustin all in all that sounds like a good appointment! Congrats!
  • @susiaustin yes! That sounds like a pretty good appointment to me! Taking a baby aspirin isn't the worst thing in the world and the good news is that they are checking you ahead of time so at least they have their ducks in a row. Hopefully everything will continue to go smoothly for you! Been waiting all day for your update!

@koala1107 what a scary experience, but look how it turned out! that's great!

im so tired i keep tripping and bumping into things and cant think straight. but i did finish all of my errands, make homemade pot pies, and now i'm off to teach yoga....dreaaaaming of my bed.
  • Omg! @CMDD I don't know how you do it! I taught all day and now I just want to lay on the couch and mouth breathe (that's kinda like yoga, right?).

My first regular OB appt is tomorrow. I'm scared to death it's going to be bad. I'm convinced something is wrong, even though I have no reason to think so. Partly because I had no reason to think the twins would come so early, and then they did. I'm trying to think positive. Trying.
  • @bostonbaby1, and @kimb311 they just told me no stress to make sure blood pressure down too. Yay for telling the sister to kick rocks

  • Didn't let me load baby pictures, look at those little feet!!
And not just his sister, my mom threatened my sister too that she is to leave me alone... Yay for less (or almost no stress)
