Cycle Status:

QOTW: How was your Mother's Day?  Did you do anything special to celebrate?

Cycle Status:  Have to go back for more blood work to confirm betas are dropping after my ectopic.  Last week I was on track but I'm worried that things will have plateaued and they'll make me get another shot.  I had some bad cramping and gross spotting over the weekend though so maybe my body is taking care of things?  

QOTW:  I had a wonderful day, brunch, family time!  The best!

Cycle Status: Yet another week on BCPs we head into IVF #3 later in the month.

Mother's Day: All I'll say is thank God preschool teachers help kids put together gifts for their mothers.

Cycle: only 17 days of bcps left. 33 days of bcps is torture. Tomorrow is our appt to go over biopsy results with our RE and I think decide which to transfer. I'll also get my calendar and meds.

Mothers days was relaxing and uneventful. Perfect.

Cycle Status: On Day 14 of BCPs.  Baseline u/s on the 20th.

QOTW: Usual weekend day with an omelette thrown in.  I'll take it.

Cycle status: It doesn't really matter as we aren't allowed to do anything until August. We have an appointment Thursday with Fertility urologist which will hopefully give some answers as to why DH suddenly has no sperm, but I am skeptical that we will actually get answers because I go into every single IF appointment thinking I will know something more afterwards and its always more testing and more waiting.

Mother's Day: DH made breakfast and dinner. Other than that it was a normal Sunday around here.

Novel ahead - 

Status: I have an appt with my surgeon on Thursday morning to talk about what is next. The RE wants to give it one more college try. So I will have another surgery to pull out the scar tissue, have a balloon inserted to keep the uteran walls from collapsing again, and the day the balloon is supposed to come out, have a mock transfer done in the REs office. His thoughts are that if he goes in with the saline solution the day the balloon comes out, it will be similar to an open wound - clean it and it stays open, leave it alone and it dries and scabs. In may case, he thinks that might help to prevent additional scarring from growing.

FTR - we aren't sure if the scar tissue they saw last week was new or not. The surgeon said he got as much as he could, but likely, not all. He was hoping the estrogen would help to heal my uterus and that it would essentially heal over the leftover scarring. The tissue they couldn't get past could be leftovers from the surgery, shifted slightly since they can see improvement in my lining, or it could be new. If it is new, this is pretty much my last shot because if I keep growing scar tissue, I can't grow a baby. I don't know if they can age scar tissue - is that a weird question?

In any case, the next surgery will pretty much family plan for us. If it doesn't work, I will not be able to carry children on my own. The RE told me I should start thinking about a donor carrier. Which is ironic, because I was going to carry for my gay cousin when I was done having kids. Anyway - I am not particularly comfortable with someone else carrying my child. So we are researching foster to adopt and donors while I am going through the next surgery. Also, I am making an appt with a therapist because with all of this, I need to talk to a person (not my computer) or I am going to explode.

QOTW: We went to brunch and spent the rest of the day on the patio. L played in the yard while DH & I worked. I have a professional exam tonight and I needed a review. All in all, a decent day.

@Flamingemu - Sending hugs. I think the therapist is a great idea. I restarted seeing mine while going through this, and it's been very helpful. Please keep us updated.

@NB817 - I'm still holding out hope someone has an answer for you! GL!

@flamingemu you are so incredibly strong.  I will continue to hope for the surgeon to get all the scarring this time, and for everything to go perfectly.  ((huge hugs))

@NB817 I hope you can finally get answers instead of MOARWAITING.  It seems as if waiting is all we do, and it can go fuck itself.

Cycle status: baseline was Monday for FET and got the green light. Love hearing the words perfect from my nurse!!

QOTW: I kinda pouted on Friday bc we were spending all weekend with my inlaws. So when Sunday came DH pulled it together with a nice card and hydrangea bush!! Preschool gift was adorable and even my 19 month old got it that it was an extra special day for mommy snuggles. Too bad it didn't last all day as both were over exhausted from the weekend and melted down the end half of the day. All in all a good day.

@Flamingemu I am so sorry you are going through this! I will be praying for the best possible outcome for what you have coming up.

CD- don't have cycles. I am four weeks away from my IVF appointment and am now down 27.8 lbs. I am gonna keep it up and want to lose another 10-15 before I start my IVF cycle. I am really starting to get into IVF research and what the different protocols are and for what diagnoses they are used for. I am sure I will have many more questions for you all in the next few months!

QOTW: I got to sleep into 11 am and had a great and relaxing day. We had a picnic with my parents on the water front and DH got me a cute necklace with our son's name on it.

CD 11. Another natural cycle.

QOTW: It was okay. It was a crazy, busy day that started with a cranky kid and ended with an almost flat tire that had a leak from a nail. But it could have been worse and we did have some fun moments in between the craziness.

Status: legit break, on bcp. Kind of loving it. Knowing for sure there's no chance is way easier on my mental status than thinking there could be a tiny chance.. Anyway, planning to continue the pills until my annual in sept/oct, and decide whether to get more samples or go off the pill for awhile and try again. We're both working on getting healthy in the meantime.

QOTW: DH made reservations at my favorite restaurant and I got to go for a long, slow run. Running has been my happy place lately. It's symbolic. Like I'm leaving the crap behind but I always end up at home.
