Symptoms thread for Mother's Day! 5/10

Happy Mother's Day ladies! You may not feel like an official mother yet, but in my eyes you are. You are carrying this beautiful being, keeping it safe, warm, and fed. Plus you're the one who has to deal with all the symptoms of pregnancy, so let's hear it ladies! What's going on for you today?

Not feeling so awesome this morning with some mild nausea and gas. It hasn't started yet, but I see hip and back pain in my future. Debating whether or not I should just get up and shower or roll over and try to get more sleep. Doesn't help that my least favorite neighbor is up and being loud already...
But oh well, I'm going to try to be positive and hopefully DH will be in a decent mood when he gets off work.

For the ladies worried about diarrhea yesterday/last night on symptoms.
Diarrhea has been very common among a lot of us lately. It's not always a sign of impending labor.

Church at 8am..... Sitting there in the pew and all of the sudden it felt like my vagina was so heavy/full of pressure that it was going to fall off.

After church I told my husband that he better write something very nice to his mom in her card because she was once sitting in church feeling like her vagina was going to fall out for him

My temp went up to 100.3 yesterday but my husband got back with Tylenol and we were able to bring my temp back down to normal. I think he felt bad because he stayed in bed with me pretty much all day and went through 10 episodes of Lost with me.

Still bringing myself back to feeling normalish today. DH is trying to keep me on track with food and water. Pretty exhausted but not the aches and chills of yesterday so on the road to recovery

I slept. I've never been so grateful in my life. From 10:30-6am without having to get up to pee. The only Mother's Day present I needed.

Having a lazy day. Went to brunch this morning now gong to dinner later with our other side. Feeling good. Baby is moving a lot like always.
Have another ultrasound Tuesday to check baby's size and my cervix. Blah. Last appointment the nurse said there was a slight amount of protein in my urine which made me nervous about preeclampsia but then when the doctor came in she said my urine looked good. So that was odd. And of course I didn't say anything just because I never do. But I'll ask this next time for sure. Hopefully it'll all go well. Idk what other symptoms besides that and swelling occur. I don't have any swelling what so ever either.

My cold is going away but I need to work on kegels to get control over my bladder again. All this sneezing and coughing has been precarious!

I am SSSOOOO thirsty! But my huge belly makes me feel full so fast that I feel like I can't drink enough LOL.

Happy Mother's Day, all!

I'm feeling pretty well today, except -TMI - I think I'm having some trouble with bladder control... every time I stand up I get a little damp. Thank you, LO. Either that or my water broke and it's doing that trickle thing - I don't think it's that though (I'm obsessively smelling my underwear to see if there's a sweet scent, because apparently that's what it would smell like if water broke?). FTM problems, fml... seriously hoping it's just pee, gross as that is. I need a few more weeks of prep time!

My pupps rash has spread from belly and arms to my legs now. I literally want to tear my skin off. It is insanely itchy especially at night. It wakes me up and I feel like I haven't slept in days. The itchiness, the heat radiating from it, and the burning sensation is driving me mad. I would not wish this upon my worst enemy. By far, it is the most aggravating and unbearable pregnancy symptom I have had to deal with yet. I promise if this goes away I will never ever complain about any other symptom again. Unfortunately my doctor says the only cure is delivering the baby so I have some 2-3 weeks left. I am desperate to find something to find some relief soon or I feel like I will go insane.

Last night when DH and I were out on our date night/Mothers Day present I got my first BH-not cool. I kept having them all night, they were bad enough to wake me up during the night and they're still hanging around today but not as frequent. Hope everyone else is feeling better! Happy Mothers Day ladies

@moz3518 oh my gosh I'm so sorry. That's so awful. PUPPS is so terrible. Wishing you a few moments of relief.

FTM... Cramping bad today and have a lot of pressure. I think I've passed the threshold of BH because these cramps actually hurt. A. Lot. Any other STM (plus) mama's have any insight they'd care to share?

@moz3518 that looks so painful. I'm so sorry you have to suffer through that. Are there any special baths you could take to offer relief? I would be going out of my mind. I hope you find some sort of resolve soon.

@celliott72 early labor for me felt like painful cramps. BH feels like a hardening of the uterus. I'd give your doc a call to check in. Good luck.

Acid reflex, bh a lot more frequent, and hot flashes. I will be freezing cold one second and bam hot flash not even standing by the ac vents help. Only a few more weeks.

I have more of a question than symptom for STMs or for anyone who knows... The day you go into labor will you feel your baby moving still? Or even while you're in labor do you still feel the baby move? I'm just curious

I'm a STM so I know what regular contractions feel like and BH is a milder version of contractions. They don't come at regular intervals or increase in intensity. Mine might have actually gone away last night and come back again but I was sleeping so I'm not sure haha that's just my simple understanding though I would also be interested if somebody more knowledgeable than me could offer some insight!

Same here! I've had it since January, but it's definitely intensified over the past few weeks... no fun

Sorry you are having hip pain too, ladies. Definitely uncomfortable

@LaurenCearfoss you are completely right. After some googling, I found basically what you said. Braxton Hicks are irregular and don't intensify. They may also go away if you drink water and put your feet up whereas actual contractions dont. BH can be regular but they don't stay that way for long.

Feeling crazy emotional lately. Like I could cry at any second! I cried for a solid 2 hours last night.

Back pain other than that. Being in any position for too long makes me sore!

I had a similar problem yesterday. For over half the day I guess I was just being extra discharge-y, but I was afraid I had a slow water break leak. Every single time I went to the bathroom I was like 'my gods, there's more!' and fully did the sniff test before I left for my work party and once while at my work party. The extra moisture, combined with a lazy ewok day really had me stressing. Everything ended up going back to 'normal' once I got home and got some rest.

@moz3518 that looks and sounds miserable. My sympathies!

Ugh super grumpy today. Normally I've been pretty emotionally stable but today I'm just annoyed. I think it's the lack of sleep plus yesterday was a super busy day, went out of town and did lots of driving. I mowed the lawn this morning after breakfast with our families for mothers day. Then went to DH parents for dinner. Wasnt feeling it and couldn't bring myself to eat. Now laying in bed watching TV while being extremely annoyed with DH who is sleeping on the couch. Haven't eaten since breakfast. But just not hungry. All I can think is how nice it must be to just be able to sleep anywhere.

Other then that just bad back and hip pain and headache. But thats become normal and I haven't let it bug me much.

@moz3518 that looks terrible. I had postpartum pupps and memories are vivid 3 year later. I am one of those anti-induction, babies will come when they are ready people but I would absolutely induce as soon as safely able to in order to end the real misery and suffering of pupps. Is that an option?

My newest symptom is burping and belching with a little bit of reflux.. The burps don't hurt but the bile/? that comes up with it burns for a moment.... Just for future belchers,,, Greek yogurt was by far the worst food burps. For me any way.. Hope that helps someone. Ohh and my lady parts feel bruised and very tender. I noticed that today when I was walking. Not the normal lightning crotch instances I've had for the past two weeks. But that IS happening more frequently. This tender feeling is like I've been kicked or something.... 20 days until edd.. I can do this!!!!
