I will be giving birth at Edward in Naperville. In the classes I've taken, they've said that they pretty much provide (and charge you for anyway) everything you need for Baby. With that in mind, I have packed a few blankets, a coming home outfit, and a pair of socks for the ride home. The hospital will provide diapers and wipes while we are there, as well as blankets and stuff for me.
I will actually be giving birth at Edward Hospital as well on June 30th if our second LO stays put. A few things we packed with number one that were beneficial for us. For your SO/DH, a change of clothes and toiletries. Same for you. You will be thankful to have the ones from home. Hospital brands aren't the nicest. Change and money for the cafeteria and vending machines for your DH/SO and any visitors that may stop by. A phone and/or camera charger. If you have non-slip socks or slippers at home you really like, take those too. The hospital charges for the itchy tube ones. Anything you don't want that they bring to your room, tell them to take away and make sure you check the itemized statement once you receive it. You don't have to accept anything you don't want or plan to use. Your favorite bed pillow (if you have one) is a great item too. If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know.
