Door open or closed

Do you keep the nursery door open or closed at night? During the day I keep it closed when he naps and when I first put him down at night I close it if I am going to be up awhile but I always open it when I go to bed. I feel like it would just get too stuffy in there with it closed.

Problem is he wakes up soon after I open it every night and about every 2-3 hours after that. I am wondering if the door being open or closed has anything to do with that.

I close the door for naps and when he first goes down for the night too. After that I keep it open for the simple fact that I have to go back in multiple times and I don't want to have to "gently" shut the door every time. Every second I can get of sleep counts! Plus there's no day noise to wake him.

Have you tried keeping it shut through the night? Did that keep your LO from waking? If not, then I doubt the door being open/shut matters much.

We keep ours closed..... otherwise our cats would be in there running amok

We keep ours closed so that when he wakes up throughout the night he hopefully won't wake up our other son.

Closed! The dog and cat parade are bad enough for us! They won't let us keep our door closed!

We keep it opened. But we don't have pets or other children. It gets stuffy in his room if we shut the door.

We start with it closed then I always open it (crack it) before bed. Mainly just so I don't make as much noise going in and out during the night.
