Hi ladies,
I'm still new here and I hate to start with a rant but if anyone will understand its you ladies.
So we're moving in 6 days ... I've moved twice at 36 and 32 weeks pregnant so of course I thought moving in the first trimester would be cake! Except I forgot that I feel so horrible at this time ... I get super fatigued, all day MS and this weird out of breath, shaky, weak feeling off and on all day.
So the move ... Is not a moving across town, have few days to move kinda thing. A truck will show up on Monday and pack everything they find in the house with frightening speed ... Yes, frightening b/c if you're not on their heels they'll pack that suit case you ment to keep or those important docs you forgot to hide in the car or even a garbage can full of garbage LOL..
We are moving across country and I'll need to think ahead (my brain is scrambled eggs right now!) as to what I, my DH, DS & DD will need for the next 2 months and make sure it fits in our two cars.
We won't see our things again until July 13th in Alabama (in the summer, in the south ekk ... Oops off subject!)
In the mean time we'll live a in temporary place for 6 weeks and then drive from CA to AL ... In seperate cars (whose idea was that?!)
I'm feeling over emotional & anxious

Oh and ps I'm a control freak and have anxiety if I am not the one to pack & organize everything ... Sigh
Thanks for 'listening' and I hope you are all doing well!
Re: What was I thinking?! Rant about the timing of it all ...
Me 43 DH 48 Not actively ttc, surprise BFP on 1/6/11! 4/1/11 m/c our sunshine at 16wks after complications from CVS test. *5th cycle after loss 12/6/11 BFP! Missed m/c at 9 weeks 1/21/12, trisomy 14. Two Chemical PG 3/12&7/12

TTC #2, bpf 1/15/15 Baby Girl due Oct 1! She's here, 9/26/2015!
And honestly I don't think it matters how far you move, it all sucks. B/c on one hand we have movers doing the heavy lifting and I'm sure you're doing in it on your own ... And then on the other I need to plan for those two in between months w/o our stuff ... It's a pain no matter what! Lol ... Good luck to you guys! It will be so worth it
But despite the carefree sounding way we had it, it IS very stressful. Just the two of us would still have a bunch of stuff we didn't trust the movers with (essential documents, my husbands uniforms, cat food and meds, the cats themselves, sleeping bags and air mattress for camping along the way and a place to sleep once we arrived at our new house...). Last time we moved the movers were OVER 30 DAYS LATE delivering our stuff.
I remember my 1st trimester, I was exhausted all the time, and dizzy frequently. At least I was spared MS, but all the same I definitely would be stressing doing it all at that time. But one thing I have learned talking to these ladies and all the other established moms, you moms are tough and make it work when I (my childless so far self) would think I would just roll over and die. I'm sure you will make it work out, and will rock the challenge. Sorry for the stress of it all, tho
@kimb311 and @mellymar you got it, this is a PCS all the way
Our first 2 as a married couple were overseas and back so you'd think this is no sweat ... 3-4 months w/o your stuff those 2 times! But now w/ a 5yo, 2yo & one on the way ... Yikes. But hey, I do know military fams w/ 4+ LOs so what am I complaining about, right?!!
And mellymar, great idea about the bathroom!! I will totally use that! I will even lockthe door so no mistakes are made
I will be feeling much better by Tuesday when it's all loaded on the truck
