Should I be worried?

Pregnant with baby number two and u know this may seem crazy but I feel she will be born soon. I lost my mucus plug days ago an have since began having extremely intense cramps. Her head is SO low and she has stopped moving so much. Tons of pressure too. My problem is my doctor wants to go by my last period for my due date and nothing else. The entire pregnancy the baby had measured 2-3 weeks ahead of that due date. Going by my last menstrual I am only 36 weeks, but going by the ultrasound I had two weeks ago the baby measured 38 weeks. She is also almost 7 pounds. I'm just so worried about going into labor at this point cause I'm not sure how far along I really am. Has anyone ever experienced something similar?

  • Ultrasounds at this stage aren't helpful for determining gestational age. Your LMP is more accurate.

Your LMP is what the doctor will go by unless it's a significant different. Based on my LMP my due date was yesterday, but based on when baby was conceived and her dating U/S she's due May 7th. My doctor won't change my due date because it's only a difference of a few days. Talk to your doctor and see what she/he says. Good luck!
  • Yes, my cycles were always messed up so I've never been sure I had my iud removed and then had lots of random bleeding an became pregnant, when I'm not exactly sure. My ultrasounds have always been weeks ahead of the last time I had the spotting which we called my period, but he never mentioned going by anything other than when the bleeding last occurred which only last two days itself. I'm also worried because my last ultrasound the tech made a comment about low fluid, an again my doctor never mentioned it. Im just concerned at this stage with not knowing with to expect. I see my OB tomorrow for a check up, hoping to get answers but thank you all for your thoughts and advice!
