2nd Trimester

Should I be concerned?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant. The last 2 weeks I've been feeling my baby kick basically everyday. Today however I've felt nothing.... Should I be concerned or not because it's still relatively early in my pregnancy?

Re: Should I be concerned?

  • Drink some cold water and lay on your left side for a while see if you can get a few . If not call the doctor they will just have you come in and be monitored . Good luck ! I'm sure baby is just in an awkward position that you are not feeling kicks ! Remember at 22 weeks baby is still super small and can move about quite a bit!

When in doubt tell your provider, but I've always been told not to expect regular movement until after 28 weeks.

Ditto this. You don't have to worry about daily movement yet. I started feeling my kids around 18 weeks and up but nothing consistent until the end of 2nd tri/beginning of 3rd tri. Enjoy these little flutters now because they start to hurt a bit later on lol.

This. When baby is kicking you in your diaphragm and you suddenly can't breathe, you'll be wishing for flutters lol.
