I had my third biophysical profile ultrasound today and scored a 6/8 because the baby didn't practice it's breathing. The ultrasound tech said that she'll call the Dr and that they usually will have you go eat and come back and try again. Or to go to L&D for monitoring. I'm 38 weeks 2 days. She steps out to call the dr and comes back. She had kind of a confused look on her face and said the dr said to just go home since I will be induced soon anyways. We are set to be induced in two weeks. He had originally told me next week. Then when we went to schedule it he said 40 weeks. He is going to break my water as induction as I've had a csection in the past. Has anyone else scored a 6/8 on the BPP for no fetal breathing? What did your dr do or say with a 6/8 score?

I had this same thing yesterday. I got sent to l&d for more monitoring. I think it depends on if you have other issues. I have high Blood pressure and mild pre-eclampsia. So they just wanted to double check everything was okay with my lab work and everything.

I have cholestasis. Which carries a higher risk of still birth. It just makes me nervous. We are doing these to keep an eye on the baby making sure things are ok. I know if baby scores a 4 we are delivering right then. I wish he would have done something more to double check rather than just brushing it off. Especially since we live 80 miles from the hospital.
