Pregnant after IF

Excited to find this board...

Hey everyone!  I am new, and pretty early on in my pregnancy (5w5d).  I quick intro about my story... Diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago, been TTC for over 3 years.  Went through lots of Clomid cycles, Femara Cycles, 2 IUI's and finally went to a Fertility Specialist and got pregnant in my 2nd cycle there on Femara & Ovidrel.

I saw someone mention "Infertility Brain" and I have been struggling with that so much! It has started to ease the past few days as all the pregnancy symptoms started hitting (so thankful!) But it has been hard!  After so long of bad news, now I am just waiting for it.  I have my first ultrasound May 7th (7 weeks) and I wish it would come sooner.

It seems like a lot of the women here are farther along in their pregnancy.  Anyone early on like me?

Welcome! And congratulations! I think all of us struggle with IF brain here. I can say it gets a little better, but for a lot of us never goes away. I can feel the little one kicking away and I still constantly think this isn't real. There are some women here in the first tri, try looking back at some posts and finding the first trimester check in that was posted and you will see other people like you. Good luck with the long wait until the 7 week u/s!

IF brain is real! But it's gone from utter worry every day and panic attacks before my appointments to general nerves interspersed with more intense worry. I still check the toilette paper! I'm finding myself looking forward to my next appointment (so hard to wait!) vs dreading it. So it gets better!

I was so grateful to have found this board too, and to find terms for what I was feeling, like "IF brain" & "IVF PTSD". so good to know you're not alone!

I also have PCOS and finally conceived after fertility treatments, clomid, ovidrel. I really had a hard time believing my hpt was for real. I'm awaiting blood work from my RE. I'm 4 weeks 5 days. Best wishes! Hang in there. The wait and what IF's are SO nerve wracking! But I never thought I'd be this far..

I am also 4 weeks and 5 days! This was a FET straight after a failed IVF cycle so it has been pretty full on!!

I thought getting a BFP would be the end of the anxiety So tested way early and got a Negative that put me in a spin for a day! Then the next day I got a positive and my anxiety only increased I convinced myself that it has to be wrong! After my first Beta I couldn't go in the clinic to get the results and once they came back oh my I was on a high but then the next beta had me doubting again! What a yo yo!!!! All has been great but my head hasn't quite transitioned- so glad when I read IF brain- I so relate!

For 2 days I have been so happy but today I am in a wobble and caught between embracing every moment of pregnancy and carrying this baby and the fear of potiential future probelms!

I have found this the most stretching experience and I know we will all be the better for it. I lose sight of it regularly but it really is a the most incredible moments to be experiencing this! This will most likely be our only pregnancy as we plan to adopt after so i don't want to look back a wish I had chilled out and just enjoyed the ride!

Really nice to have have found this board!! And I hope we get to support each other through the ups and downs

Welcome! Everyone is so great here, you will love it. IF brain has permanently changed the way I think and quite frankly I believe I'm better for it. I am a much more "educated consumer" when it comes to my health care. I feel like I do a better job of researching options, asking pointed questions, and most importantly NOT taking no for an answer! When I try to look at it that way, I feel less neurotic! Isn't the wait before the first ultrasound the worst? Hope you get a good one- it's also my birthday today, so I consider it a very lucky day!
    ***WARNING***
