CT Scan and TTC

Hi Ladies!

I have been around here since April 23rd and am excited to see that now i am surrounded by a whole bunch of girls like me. 

I am a bit worried as i am making up my mind for TTC and just last week i had to undergo a CT Scan... They were two scans back to back cuz the first got them shaky images of me.

Now i am hearing people telling me that the radiations are so bad that one should not TTC for a year at least. Suggest someone if this is right or not.

I am reading a lot here and am feeling great and positive about the community i also belong to now

That sounds like a lot of hoakey to me. I would just ask your Dr. to be sure.

Yeah, and if it was really that bad, I would've thought your doctor or the testing place would've told you specifically NOT to TTC. Or you would've had to sign something or something...

I had to undergo and emergency CT scan about 4 DPO, and the doctor, tech, and nurse all assured me it was ok. Additionally, my gyno (who knows I am TTC) gave me the go ahead. Just make sure your medical team knows you are TTC. Just ask questions! FX for your results!

I am a ct technologist and I would not worry about the radiation. A cat scan uses X-rays and they are gone and passed through your body once the scan is over. Hope this helps and good luck on your journey.
