Just made a post of this one because I didn't see it. What a scary thing going on. This isn't helping anyone's cause. I hope that people can stay safe. I am close to Baltimore, but not anywhere near anything that is going on.
Watching the coverage of this breaks my heart. I just moved away from DC last summer after 10 years, and spent a lot of time in the B'more area. I have a lot of fond memories of being there. I hope everyone from this area is safe from harms way and that this community can turn it around. It's such a shame to see people tearing apart this community when they are upset.
I'm so disgusted with what is going on in Baltimore. I don't understand how people think this is going to make a difference. Yes, it's sad that protocol was not followed and it resulted in the mans death but accidents happen and the police department admitted he should have received medial attention immediately. My cousin's boyfriend is a Baltimore police officer and she is constantly worried about his safety right now.
We were planning on going to the Baltimore aquarium this weekend and cancelled our trip because I'm not risking bringing my daughter into that chaos. Does anyone know if Freddie Gray's family has spoken out against the violence?
My husband left on a field trip this morning with some students to Baltimore (College Tour). I'm constantly praying they remain safe and cancel anything that could potentially put them in harms way. This is going to be a long two days for me (sigh) Praying for safety of all that live up there.
His family has spoken out. His twin sisters said the riots were not the way to solve anything and that all protests should be peaceful. My heart hurts for this family. They have lost a brother/son and now their community is being destroyed by people who don't even have his memory at heart when rioting. Stay safe mamas.

Yes I've heard on the news that several of his family members have said that the riots were no way to honor him and they should stop. It's sad that the people committing these crimes don't really even care about the poor man that died, seems like they just wanted an excuse to riot and cause chaos. I hope it settles down soon so no one else gets hurt and his poor family can find peace. Thoughts and prayers to everyone going through something like this

I'm praying for all my family and friends...including any of you ladies.... in Baltimore.
Most of my extended family lives out there.....my Dad was born there.
Here's the kicker.....I live in St. Louis. We had our own share of this crap last Fall. It sucks.
Stay safe, Moms!
