Help! I drank some expired soda!

Im a FTM, and I decided that I wanted a soda. So I brought one from my local store and as I was drinking the soda I noticed the expiration date on the bottle said March 23, 2015. I was just wondering if I should be concerned or not. I didn't drink the entire soda, about half of it.

Did it taste funny? If not, I wouldn't worry. I've never checked the dates on stuff like that, who knows how many expired ones I've drank over the years.

I really wouldn't worry. Most dates on food is a sell by date and not an expiration date. Since the date was just a couple weeks ago it should still be good

Soda has so much sugar and other chemicals in it that it is probably good for years past the expiration date. I personally think a lot of the companies just put an earlier date on these types of things so that the store owners have to order more from them. I wouldn't even think twice about it.

I just sat at home eating chips and queso. The whole time I was eating it it tasted disgusting but I thought it was just me and let's face it I was starving. Hubby got home, took one bite, and threw it away. It wasn't expired but now I'm worried too.

This! There's actually a documentary about it, it is true, don't worry, I've eating cheese and stuff that are well past the expiration date and I'm alive ... If it tastes good, smells good and is not too thick then it's ok.

I wouldn't really be worried. But I'd definitely be taking it back to the store. They shouldn't be selling anything past the sell by date.

Soda has a sell by date...it doesn't expire the way milk does. The most old soda is going to do is be flat..eventually after a very long time I'm sure it wouldn't be good to drink..but a few months after the date should be fine

The only reason soda has an expiration date it because that's when it starts to lose it's fizziness there's so much sugar and other stuff in it that it won't actually go "bad" and harm you it just doesn't taste as great

Since I've been pregnant I've had cravings for sour punch straws! I got some and ate a couple and they seemed a little tougher than usual, I looked and they expired last October! Nothing happened but I took them back for a refund!

the only bad that'll happen to you is you will be mad bc it tasted like crap... at least that's been my experience
