Approved Medication & Treatment in Pregnancy

edited April 2015 in December 2015 Moms
Hiya ladies! I know there have been a few questions on approved meds so I thought I'd post the list my OB sent me home with. Feel free to post your lists as well.

Edit: autocorrect put in lost instead of list. O_o

  • Thank you. I have one from my ob but it's good to have this resource here. Is there a way we can make this sticky?

  • I finally found an allergy med that works for me, and when I thought to look it up, the info doesn't make me feel comfortable to use it during pregnancy. Goodbye, Nasacort spray :( I stopped using it maybe 2-3 weeks ago and I can tell the difference. Most other allergy meds don't work for me, and I've tried everything under the sun.

  • Perhaps your OB may say it's okay.
You could ask and find out.
Sometimes the benefits are needed. I have a few prescriptions that I was unsure about when I was pregnant the first time with DS, but my OB approved them.

  • It has a steroid in it is why the info says its effects are unknown for pregnancy, but could be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. My allergies haven't been devastating yet (which they can be), so I'm putting it off for now.

  • I hope they stay away! I know that is difficult with it being springish-summer.

  • Thank you for posting this!!!! I have a terrible allergy/cold right now. Runny nose, sore throat, and itchy hives! Ugh it's awful. Glad to know I don't have to suffer through lol.
