Quick question!

last week my dr told me at my next visit shes going to do a small ultrasound to see what position my little man is in.. I was thinking about it and what happens if hes not head down? Idk why i didnt ask her but i tend to be forgetful (pregnancy brain) im 36 weeks and will be 37 by the time of my appt.
anyone have any ideas on what happens if he is/isnt the way they want him to be? Just want to be prepared.
Thanks moms and moms to be!

Re: Quick question!

  • They may wait to see if he moves, may want to schedule you for a version (manually try to get the baby to move) or they may want to schedule you for a csection. At 37 weeks I asked my midwife to feel around to see if he was breech and luckily he was head down and low so I didn't have to worry about this. Good luck!

  • Okay, i had a feeling it may be a process like that but didnt know for sure so its good to know!
    Thanks :)
  • I'm fortunate that baby has been head down since 32 weeks. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, but at every doctor's appointment I ask my doctor to check if she can feel if the baby is still head down, just for piece of mind. I won't have another ultrasound until I'm 40+1. Good luck.
