daycare registration forms

Hi Ladies,

We just enrolled DD (age 3) in a preschool program for next school year.  I'm filling out the forms and it is asking for both mine and my DH's social security numbers.  I'm wondering why they would need this information and if it's normal for most daycare/preschools to ask for this.

In my experience some times forms (any forms) request info that is not really all that necessary. Just leave it blank, maybe attach a note that asks why they need the info and that you can provide it if it's really necessary. They may just say no worries. If they really insist on it I'd make sure you know why they need it first.

Agreed!  I can see no reason why they need that information.
