Hello, I am new on this.
However, this is my first time trying for a child, and I want to know if there is a chance for me! I had protected & unprotected sex on the last day of March he used pull out method, but never cleaned off semen before going back in, had a very short period - usually lasts 5-6 days, but only lasted 3 & 1/2 days. Became fertile April 13th, BD April 14th and 17th. I ovulated April 18th. Next period is due for May 2nd. When is the best time to take a test, and is it possible to get early symptoms or is it just my head messing with me? Thanks!
Re: Getting pregnant?
But I'm confused... Are you actually TTC? If so why are you practicing the pull-out method? Anyway.. You had you period in March so you can disregard that. Are you temping? Using Opks? How do you know you actually ovulated? The ladies on here reccomend fertility friend to track your temp, etc...
I would test once you actually miss your period...

You guys can laugh all you want - but I'm serious about this.
If you were to read any post similar to this you would learn: you do not know when you ovulated unless you are temping. Otherwise you are just guessing.
If you've had unprotected sex, there is a chance you could become pregnant.
If you've taken a test and the result was negative: you are not pregnant at this time and any symptoms you have are not related to pregnancy. If you have enough hormones for symptoms, you have enough to turn a test. Make sense?
Keep testing once a week until you get a positive or you start your period.
Why did he pull out? Does he know you are TTC?

Also, He knows I'm TTC. He wanted to "play it safe", but we had a talk after my period, and so we decided to go ahead and try. We started trying around my fertile days, because we believed that the chances were higher. Plus he goes to school and works, so I haven't seen him much lately, especially around this time when he's getting ready for exams and such, which is why we tried last week when he was home during the day. I guess all I can do now is wait.

- TTC works best when you're not trying to avoid, ie: using the pull-out method.
- You have a 20% chance of conceiving in any cycle and it's completely normal for a healthy couple to take a year to conceive.
- Further, our bodies are not machines. Even if your cycle is consistently 28 days, that does not mean that you are ovulating on CD 14 - your follicular phase (the time between the start of your period to ovulation) is variable and can change at any time for just about any reason. Your luteal phase (the time between ovulation and the start of your next period) is pretty consistent within a day or two.
- For example, my first month temping was last month - my cycle was 25 days, I ovulated CD 14 so my LP was 12 days. This cycle, I ovulated CD 17.
