So like you I'm wondering what baby 3 will be like. Although I'm told that although 2nd labours are often shorter, the 3rd delivery is generally accepted to be a wild card.
Usually it is faster, don't laugh swear I have 5 kids, on number 6 now, my first labor was 3 hrs 45mins, 2nd 15 mins, 3rd 45 mins, 4th 45mins, and 5th 20 mins!!!!! So I hope it does go faster!
My first labor was a long induction at 37 weeks because of medical issues, my 2nd & 3rd labors were pretty identical. I had tons of prodromal labor for weeks, had lots of contractions for a good 24 hours but only maybe 4-5 hours of true active labor (about 3-4 pushes). I'm expecting #4 to be somewhat similar but who knows?!
Re: Do 3rd labor's go faster? Anyone with experience?
2nd child: 1 hour, 57 minutes from start to finish. (induced with pitocin)
3rd child: 4 hours, 34 minutes from start to finish.
DD was 4 hours.
DS was 15 hours
