hello ladies I heard my first heart beat of baby yesterday at 168 it was strong! What was your first heart beat of baby? Was yours a girl or boy?

I got to see the heartbeat at 7 weeks and it was 117bpm!

I saw the heartbeat when I was 8w4d & it was 171bpm

Hoping to hear it at my OB appointment on Friday. If she doesn't use the doppler, I'll at least see it during my NT scan on Monday.

I've heard this as well but my second child always had a heart rate of 130-140 and I ended up having a little girl. All my symptoms with that pregnancy pointed to boy so I no longer believe any of those old wives tales.

I haven't been to the doctor yet so I don't know this little beans heart rate, but I'm very excited to go next week!

I read from many articles one being Wed md that if heart rate is below 140 it could be a boy if it's above the 150s could be a girl. If the Heart rates are in the middle could go either way. My mom said this was true for all of us. She had 4. Hope I follow in her footsteps. Only the birth of the child is completely accurate. I had an aunt who was supposed to have a boy and she had a girl instead.

8 wks on the dot my little goober was 171 bpm. Everyone thinks it's a boy. I have my second appointment tomorrow! I'll be 10 wks!!! Can't wait to see how my baby is doing.

Had my first appointment today at 11 weeks and heartbeat was chugging away at 176bpm. My last baby had a lower heart rate and was a little girl, so I don't put much stock into the gender/heart rate wives tales.

They never told me the heart rate with my first, with this one it was 174 at 9 weeks!

Was 180 at 9 weeks and 160 today at my 13 week NT scan! Early on the heart rate is higher then it levels out and lowers towards birth. Hopefully this means girl but who knows, we aren't finding out!
