So I was diagnosed with an irritable uterus (meaning I'm having contractions 24/7 without dialating) Friday after a week or hell, including multiple doctor visits, a trip to L&D, a shot to stop contractions, an fetal MRI and other tests. Has anyone ever had this before? My doctor put me on bedrest and tried to explain it to me. I also consulted Dr. Google and that was no help. Can annoying shine some light on how you dealt with it, did you end up going into preterm labor (I know there is a higher risk) if so when?
Re: Irritable uterus
Was is worse for you ladies at night too? At night I feel like in dying!
All that to say I am now 33 weeks and now contracting every 10 minutes and although my cervix is now thining and baby is head down my Dr is confident I'll make it to at least 36 weeks. I have to say (I may sound crazy) but although it is the most uncomfortable and annoying pregnancy symptom, I have gotten so used to it that I actually get nervous if my contractions stop or slow down. I also find it is good training for the birth, I can at least say that I somewhat know what to expect.
