Hello mommies!
I'm really at a loss lately, as I do not know what to do anymore for my little one. He's nearing 8 months and for the past 10 days or so, he's been having a lot of trouble drinking formula. I give him Enfamil A+ (it's what he's been always taking since day 0!). He's started on solids already, and after meals he would still take about 200ml of formula with no problem. A week ago he's had a throat infection (which later was diagnosed as a virus, and the doctor didn't give us more specifications as to what it might be but he said maybe mono.) EVERY bottle is an issue. If he eats 100ml in a feeding, it's a miracle. He used to eat about 800ml-1L per day, in addition to the solid meals, and now it's down to 400-500. His throat doesn't hurt (we gave Tylenol a few times and it made no difference in feedings), I tried three different bottles just in case he stopped liking his, but no success. He's hungry though, because he eats breakfast and lunch with no issues, plus a fruit snack. I've been reading threads online about other mommies having this issue, but no one suggested anything, so I am wondering if there's something I could try. I tried adding a hint of vanilla to the formula - also didn't make a change. I'm worried as he's most likely not getting all nutriments from just the food, and he might lose weight. Any help would really be appreciated! Thank you!
