Re: Anyone else still in their regular clothes?

  • Im overweight and have actually lost weight although my shirts are starting to get snug.
  • Loading the player...
  • I wear a lot of yoga pants, and I like loose clothing so not yet!!!
  • 16 weeks 4 days and I just bought a two pairs of jeans, 1 work pant, 1 blazer and a bathing suit for the summer. My sister gave me a gift card to motherhood maternity for my bday so I finally used it. I can still wear most of my old clothes, even pants with a Bella band or hair-tie but I agree maternity clothes are soooo comfy! Plus the really help round out the belly which is nice so you look pregnant not fat lol. I'm doing ok with the few pieces I have and hopefully they will get me through the next 5.5 months
  • I'm still in my regular clothes too. I get a little sad every time my skinny jeans button. I'm ready for a bump!! (I know I'll regret saying this in a few months when I'm huge and uncomfortable, haha)
  • I'm still in normal clothes in that they're not maternity but I can't comfortably sit in my work pants all day anymore ( even though I can button them still) so I've been living in maxi skirts pretty much full time at work and then yoga pants at home.
  • 16w4d and I'm still in my regular clothes. I used a hair tie in my jeans yesterday but they were American Eagle super skinny jeggings. I'm glad...I only plan on buying 3 pairs of maternity pants when the time comes
  • Wow! My regular clothes started making me seriously uncomfortable a few weeks ago, so I went and invested in some maternity clothes.. I'm soooo happy I did, I've been a lot more comfortable since, and actually feel like I look good in them! Which is a rare thing for me hehe..

I was surprised my clothes got so uncomfy though, I've lost weight rather than gained it so far..

  • I am mostly in my regular clothes. I have primarily migrated to the section of my closet where I had kept a few items that were on the big side for me or are more generously cut in the middle. The skinny anything is a thing of the past without a belly band.

Surprisingly, it has been shirts that have been a bigger issue. I was not a busty girl before (34B pre-pregnancy), but I have already gone up to a full cup size (34C). Between that and the belly, several shirts no longer fit right in the middle.

I have purchased a few "maternity" items, mostly the next size up or different styles than I normally wear. I figure after birth I will be happy to have a range of sizes to help me work my way back to my normal clothes slowly. I am holding out on maternity pants a little longer.
  • 13+3 and I haven't bought any maternity stuff yet. I am hoping to stay in regular clothes as long as possible. No bump here just bloat:(
  • I live in leggings and maxi dresses lately . I haven't gained any weight bc of awful morning sickness . :-&
  • Nearly 14 weeks and still in most of my regular clothes. I work in a very relaxed office so I mostly wear leggings and sweaters anyway, but on days where I dress up, I still fit into my jeans (with help of a rubber band or a Bella band!) and my dresses. I'm a pretty "relaxed" dresser in general... I don't like things to be too tight-fitting which has probably helped! :) I am showing a teeny amount, but not enough to make a huge difference, especially since I wear flowy tank tops most of the time anyway ;)
  • Yeah a lot of my jeans have some stretch to them though they do hurt when I sit. Luckily I found some old fat clothes so I can stretch further. Some stuff I can't wear anymore but mostly I got enough to cover the in between stage. Haven't bought one piece of maternity clothes yet.
    I'm 16w5d.

  • 13w6days- I'm wearing regular clothes with a rubber band if I button I feel uncomfortable. Did buy maternity clothes already. Got to hit up Gap clearance maternity section ladies found great deals!
  • Jinxed myself. I put on my work pants this morning and the top button just wasn't having it. I think a little extra water retention tipped me over. One button won't matter ;) They stayed up all day = win

  • 17 weeks and still wearing regular clothes. I Stillhave maternity clothes from my first pregnancy but I'm about 20 lbs lighter then when I first got pregnant so they are kinda big. And my jeans are a little Big so will last a while. I've lost about 8 pounds since finding out I was pregnant.
  • I'm 13w5d and can fit into most of my pants but can't button them! Haha I've been using a hair tye or a Bella band to help and my friend gave me a bunch of her old maternity clothes so at least I have some! My bras are also killing me and im like overflowing in them which I mean being small chested I'm not gonna complain about too much haha! Anyone recommend any particular bras during pregnancy?!
  • I'm in all my regular clothes but I have a feeling my shirts will have to be replaced soon. My boobs went from a 34D to a 34EE (if I could find an EE my bra is popping!). TMI?! Very happy the bloat went down and I feel myself again. Pants are feeling great still!
  • I mix both. My jeans do NOT fit! Maternity all the way! I'm fit and had a flat stomach and I think everyone expects me to not show early but a small bump makes a huge difference. Maternity pants are my happy place at 16 weeks and I've had them for about 2 weeks.
  • Like many of you-- regular pants work with a band and fat pants fit ok. Tops, dresses and stretchy skirts are all still good to go. But, I find I don't like wearing form fitting tops right now because I look bigger, not pregnant. I'll probably embrace them again once I have a bump, not bloat :)
  • With my first I was strongly opposed to wearing maternity clothes... Until I put them on and then I started singing a different tune. Dress trousers that fit like sweat pants! Sign me up!!! This time around I started wearing them just because they are so comfortable.
  • Still in my regular clothes. 14.1 will be for a while I think. I don't really have a bump, but it is uncomfortable to button a couple pairs so I broke out my hair tie. I never moved into maternity with my son. Just used the hair tie the entire time. haha and I had one maternity shirt. Hoping it will be the same for this one but doubtful since my stomach muscles aren't as good as they were with him. :(
