I wish I had a happy update. I've had another miscarriage. It started yesterday. I didn't even see it coming. I am heartbroken- again. We are done. Seven losses is enough. I think my h is going to get a vasectomy. I'm going to have to find a way to accept I will never have another baby, and my daughter will never have a sibling. It really hurts.
QOTW I guess I would buy a house?
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.
@Guennie my heart is breaking for you. I wish I knew some comforting words to share with you. But know as you go through this time my thoughts and prayers are with you.
This week has been rough. We even had a stomach bug that got 4 out of the 6 of us. Thankfully my 3mth old didn't get the brunt of it. She just had some watery poop. Us other 3 had it from both ends. :P
It has turned around though. Dishwasher is fixed and I was able to book my room at a booked up hotel for a book convention coming up in 2 mths thanks to someone backing out.
If I had a million dollars? Probably get us our house out somewhere with a bit of land and maybe a new suv. I am disliking my van I got last year. I kinda jumped the gun on that investment instead of looking around. I thought 4 kids? Well next vehicle has to be a van right?

I'm glad my week is over. It's been hectic. DH does our taxes and didn't start doing them until 1 am on the 15th. He handed it to the mailman at 4.45pm..lol. We also had a guest for dinner that day. I wish we could ban visitors for a while.
DH and I have been sleeping in separate rooms because of our newborn. We're missing each other a lot, though. I hope DS will stop pooping and crying at night soon, so we can restore some harmony.
I'm also missing eating home cooked meals. We're still getting ready-to-eat meals, aside from breakfast. DS is still not very predictable with his eating and sleeping.
QOTW: I'll jump on the real estate bandwagon too. I'd buy two lots in our neighborhood so we can build a house with a decent yard and not have to move to the suburbs.
Our week: C got her cranial band (aka helmet) and overall is doing perfect with it. She woke up more at night the first couple of days (3 tines vs 1 time before, so that was rough. She will only go back to sleep if I nurse her). But we're down to 2 times now and hoping to be back at 1 soon. I am praying for a quick treatment. She is so young so should go fast.
Million $: i would pay off our house and put addition on it - we love our neighborhood and street but it's getting tight with all the kid crap here. I would pay off our mountain house, buy a LV bag, maybe swap out a bunch of clothes, go visit my fam in Europe, hire a maid and dinner service... Hah... I could keep going...
@Guennie - You are incredibly strong to handle all of these ups and downs. I'm praying you can get through this one too, then find some peace about the situation. I can't imagine the heartbreak.
My week was nice. DH was home for paternity leave and made a huge dent in the honey-do list. (I love him to death, but time management is not his strength. He was impressed that he got most everything done when he followed a schedule I made for him.) Now he's back at work and my introverted self can finally enjoy some much-needed alone time on maternity leave. Well, alone + newborn.
A million dollars? Hmm, I'm going to assume that's a million after taxes, not before. I'd pay off the mortgage on our house, my student loans, and the mortgage on a crappy rental we can't sell. Speaking of the crappy rental, I'd say "screw it" and sell it for a loss, because who cares, we have a million dollars. Then I'd put all of the upgrades into our home which DH and I always talk about but know will never happen. Then we'd take a killer vacation. My definition of that changes frequently, but this week it is a Disney cruise of the Mediterranean.
Ohhhh Guennie I am so very very sorry. My heart breaks for you because I know just how much you wanted this.
My week was hectic so glad it is over. From now until June life for me at work is nutty. But since I work in education I get a nice break at the end of June to be with the kiddos.
If I had a million dollars I would jazz up the back yard. We put on an addition almost 2 years ago and we are finally done with the big stuff but the yard is a mess. We need a new patio, decking around the pool, pavers and sod. I'd get someone to build a really nice pergola or something like that by the pool too. Oh I'd also re-do my downstairs flooring because the wood floors have taken a beating and look like crap. They are hand scrapped so it is very difficult to refinish without varnish pooling in the crevices. Oh the things I would do!!!!
@harmonicbabe26 what is the helmet for? I must have missed that update. My LO I noticed has a bit of a flat part on her head from feeding on one arm. So I've been trying to switch her around. I saw they use helmets to help reshape the head if it doesn't clear up. Will show dr in a couple weeks at her 4mth appt.

@mandyreads She was breech and born with kind of a mis-shapen noggin because of being wedged up in my ribs for a long time. We knew she'd prob need something since the beginning. It has corrected itself A TON on its own, but there was still room for improvement, and they say that after 4m repositioning is no longer as effective so we went with the band. It's really mild we were told. She should be done in 6-8 weeks and perfect for life! My older DD was also breech and had to wear it so I consider myself a veteran.... 2 breech babies, 2 csections, 2 helmets... Haha... K started treatment later and had it for 10-11w, so this time I was ON TOP of it all...
This week has been strange, maybe b/c of so many dr. appointments, having to leave the house really messes with the routine (which I really haven't figured out yet) and I'm fighting some kind of stomach bug myself... I think maybe food poisoning from 3 weeks ago (DH had similar symptoms for 2-3 days, I've had it for over 2 weeks now!)... awaiting blood work results from doctor -- we've ruled out listeria, thank goodness! I'm tired and still just trying to figure things out and I keep sweating like crazy, it's starting to get warm here (plus the low-grade fever from the bug), but the worst is between 2 and 3am, I wake up drenched, OB said it's the hormones? Other than that, things are going pretty well I guess all things considered!
QOTW: Definitely the house thing! I'd probably buy some land and have a custom built home (from a previously designed plan) -- that way we'd actually have a backyard. And something 1-story, these stairs are killing me! We were looking into buying a new custom home before I got pregnant, but houses in our neighborhood weren't really selling then and we've just decided to stay for now. I'd also hire some help for my mom & grandma, someone to come in and do my grandma's hair (she has a lot of trouble getting to the salon with her oxygen and low mobility) and whatever else they could use to make their lives easier and happier. And then take a little vacation if we had any money left over... somewhere kid-friendly... we haven't done anything vacation-like since 2013.
