Re: missing my body

  • I'm a FTM and I weighed 127 whe I got pregnant and now I'm at 147-150, but my boobs are massive and I just feel puffy and bloated everywhere. Nothing fits how I want it to or expect it to, and I just feel fat. Also the swelling is starting and that doesn't help either ha! But that's awesome that you were able to lose that much weight after your kids! Hopefully you'll be able to snap back! I'm trying to cut back on sweets right now so I'll be able to maintain a good weight for birth and after birth. Good luck to you!

I feel you. I was at a great weight with my son (4 years ago) and never returned to my pre baby weight with him. Then I packed on weight over the holidays and then got pregnant! So far I've gained 11 pounds but was overweight to begin with. I'm trying not to stress about it and instead looking forward to losing it for good after baby is born. Plus I plan to breastfeed this time which I didn't do with my son so hopefully that will help. Good luck to you!
  • I hear ya! I loved fashion before I was pregnant... My high waisted jeans were obviously the first to stop fitting! I am terrified of how my body with transform after giving birth for the first time! I have heard breast feeding is key to weight loss (also obviously amazing for baby too). I am also going to wear the hip/belly girdle... My friends swear by this. I think getting motivated ASAP after baby when it's ok'd by doc will be key. I am surprisingly looking forward to it! We can do it! Finding a workout buddy and getting back to portion control will be important. I know our bodies are doing amazing things, keeping that mindset will help keep us on track... Our bodies can amazingly bounce back and even be better than ever! Stay positive!

I've always been a skinny Minnie, mums the same, well was. Same for me lol... Everything on my body has grown!

I can't fit into ANY of my clothes, my fave jeans, I can't even get over my thighs! My comfy vest tops are tight as hell, my boobs spill out all over the place to the point were I look indecent ha, plus it's too tight on my growing bump.

This is my second, so I'm hoping it will fall off like it did last time, I was back in my normal jeans within days of having our son, however I'm 37 now so my body metabolism will have prob slowed down.

Might have to hit the gym this time round lol.

Don't worry, you'll get your body back, its just temporarily being shared at the moment with your new little life growing inside you :-)

Edited: I didn't like the first part of my post.
  • With my first pregnancy I went from about 100 to 160! I lost the weight afterwards but slowly gained it back, joy. It is awesome that you were able to lose that much weight, but if I were you I wouldn't worry about not being able to keep it back off after baby. To lose that much weight you made some serious healthy habits that you were able to stick with. Weight will come off after baby is here and you can go back to those healthy habits and get back where you want to be in no time!

  • I know what you are talking about. I was 103 before I got pregnant and I am at 118. Nothing fits me. Nada.  The good thing is that my boobs did grow bigger:). I think all pregnant women look beautiful.
