I'm due 4/20 with my first child a baby boy. I'm already 3cm and 75%.. and I've been having tons of bh and cramping in my lower belly. And tons of lightning crotch

Re: symptoms the day before you gave birth??

  • Every woman is different I had cramps and bh real bad so I thought it was the real thing just early labor week I was wrong because I fell asleep to wake up at 2am with the full blown thing and I went from 3cm 80% the night before and within 2 hours of me waking up I was pushing so every one is different but trust me you will know I an ftm also so I understand the anxiety of not knowing and waiting to find out but good luck momma godly it will be real soon

  • Thanks you so much for replying and yes I've been having tons and tons of bh and light cramping! So hopefully he'll come soon!!
  • What stood out to me was feeling extremely bloated and indigestion cramps all over my stomach around 5pm. Following Heartburn and acid reflex that came and went like contractions at about 10:30pm then woke up at 2am with cramping in my lower abdomen. Woke up again at 7 am with the same cramping except it was consistently coming and going. Decided to go to the hospital to just check what was going on. I was dilated to 4 1/2 cm and was in the first phase of labor.
  • Thank you for your response!!Did they keep you and induce?
  • Unfortunately with my first I had absolutely zero symptoms the day before. No Bh no nothing. Woke up at 5am and my water broke. Apparently no one told these babies morse code for "its time". I'm going nuts here too
  • Lol how cute....I'm just patiently waiting for some serious contractions or for my water to break ☺
  • Zero symptoms the day before. Contractions started at 4am but I convinced myself they were BH. Got to the hospital at 9am. Epidural finally in place and working at 10:15am and delivered at 10:23am. When in doubt, go in! Lol...I almost waited too long to get my epidural and I'm a STM. Good luck!
  • We're your bh not painful like period cramps? but just very intense and strong?
  • I did not feel any BH throughout my pregnancy. The morning of I felt downright cruddy. I just felt terrible, like I had come down with something. I was achey, had the worst chills, and started having inconsistent cramping.

I tried taking a bath for my chills. Which it was good during the bath, my chills got 10 times worse after I got out! My cramping started to increase in intensity and frequency, but they would go from being 3-5 minutes apart for 45-60 seconds for almost an hour, to stopping abruptley for 30 minutes. What ultimately sent me to the hospital at 4:30 in the evening was my water breaking ;) I had just taken a shower, which made me feel much better than the bath, and was laying down in bed when there was an unmistakable gush.

Anyway, baby was born at 12:46 AM.

  • Uggghh so lucky...I'm due Tomorrow and I'm planning on getting my membranes stripped and hoping that can jump start labor. I've tried everything, castor oil, intwrcourse, birthing ball, and even walking but little man just isn't ready to meet his parents yet.
  • They kept me because of how far I was dilated. My contractions were consistent but irregular. Some I felt, some I didnt. They broke my water an hour after I checked in. Contractions were just a little more painful but totally manageable. After a couple hours of no progress, they started me on pitocin and upped it every half hour. I had a good hour or so of good, strong, consistant contractions that were coming every minute so I got the epidural. I had the epidural for about 20 mins (it takes about 10-15mins) for it to take effect) and right away felt pressure. 3 pushes and little man was out.
