I was the last apt of the night and they were already an hour behind so I didn't get home until 10:30. But even though the staff was rushing to get out of there my doctor still sat and talked about everything going on. It was just nice to not feel rushed. Now on to what the heck is going on with my all over the place cycles. My doctor never mentioned early menopause so I'm relieved by that. I have to get blood work to check hormone levels and thyroid. She also wants a sono on cycle day 4 or 5 to check my lining and to look for polyps or cysts. I have to chart for the next three months so she can look at the charts to analyze what she sees. I came home and told my husband I got homework!!!!! She was steering towards cysts or polyps but she said she couldn't feel any and oh boy was she pushing all up in there.
So if my period shows up tomorrow, which I think it will because I started spotting last night before the apt, then I will have sono on Tuesday. That will work out well for me because I actually have the day off. Blood work is Monday morning before work and I have mammo set up for Friday.
So three more apts next week but hopefully I will get some answers by the end of the week.
Oh at the beginning of our talk she asked if I wanted to get more aggressive on the ttc. I told her at this point we are just seeing what happens because I'm almost 40 and I didn't think I had much more time. She started laughing and said that I'm young and she just had a 54yo deliver. That made me feel better. But until I know what's going on with me I'm still thinking my time is limited.
Well that's where I'm at and will update when I get some results back.
Thanks for sharing @hooligans4 ! Good luck with staying on top of that homework:) you always seem like you are on top of things and one step ahead so I'm sure you will have no problem. And 54 years old huh?!! That indeed puts a smile on my face:) but I understand what you mean, being aware of our own bodies is crucial. Hang in there:)
I agree with your dr that you still have time. One of the women in my support group recently had a baby at 45. Good luck going forward, I'm glad you are working with a great dr to find answers!

Sounds positive!!! When i was expressing my concern about age my dr. said the same thing.....women older have gotten PG and had babies....she even used herself as an example. 1 in the late 30's and one in her early 40's (although she looks like she is SUPER young!)
