Rash just popped up on my 10 month old!

Has anyone ever seen a rash like this just pop up on their baby out of the blue? We already have a dermatologist appointment next Monday to get an answer for what looks like baby acne that still seems to still be lingering on his cheeks. (i know baby acne doesn't last this long, hints why we are seeing a specialist!)
Yesterday when we got home from work and daycare I noticed this rash as I was getting him ready for a bath. It doesn't seem to bother him, it's not flaky or dry and it's not an itchy rash. It's very bumpy, some skin colored, some red bumps. This is where they are at the most his legs and his back, and a little on his neck. I am happy we already have a dermatologist appointment next week but in the meantime I am wondering if anyone has ever seen anything like this on their little one or has any advice..It came out of no where, it was not there that morning! I talked to his daycare and he did not have anything out of the normal to eat. I don't use any perfumed lotions or shampoos on him, we ONLY us coconut oil which always helps keep his skin smooth and clean but now this?!!?
