Plus size and pregnant with my first! 14 weeks today! I had lots of anxiety at first about being plus size but am starting to feel more comfortable and hopeful of no complications! So far so good! Due October 12!
I'm plus size also and this will be my third. I never had any complications with my pregnancy, no pre-e, both were vaginal deliveries right around their due date.
Plus size here! 15 weeks with baby #2. I wore a size 16 pre-baby. I was considered plus size with my first child although I was about 45 pounds lighter and 8 years younger and that pregnancy was perfect, very textbook no complications, gained 35 pounds and had a beautiful labor. I've worried more with this baby being older and heavier about complications that could arise with blood pressure etc. so far all my tests have come back good and only gained 2 pounds. Hoping everything stays good
Ftm here and plus size. I am 15 weeks due on October 5th. I don't have a bump yet, I just feel like it's still my stomach. I'm hoping to get a little bump soon.
Me! What are y'all's hardest moments so far with being bigger and pregnant? I've had someone ask me if I am having twins since you can "tell I'm pregnant from the back"! Wanted to smack the lady but hey! Not worth it! We are beautiful and growing life! We rock.
I'm 5'2" and weigh around 188 lbs. I wore I size 12 pre-pregnancy so I'm right on the border in terms of clothing size, but I definitely think my body type is currently plus-sized.
I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow!!!!! I definitely have a belly, but my bump is hiding underneath my fat, so I'm not sure if I look pregnant or just heavy. A cashier at Target recently made a comment about cravings when I was buying peanut M&M's, so I guess I must look pregnant.
I am! FTM at 14w due on 10/12. I wear an 18 and definitely had a bit of a tummy before but normally Spanx would help out. Now...not so much. I put on a pair a few weeks back and only lasted 30 minutes.
FTM and 13w4d pregnant. I'm 5"1 215lbs. My blood pressure has been great at every visit, but they've had a stern talk with me telling me I shouldn't gain more than 15lbs. Although plus size i consider myself pretty healthy, never had any health concerns. My biggest complaint is finding plus size maternity clothes.
Plus size here too...15w4days....my weight fluctuates alot . I have a few health concerns that run in my family, diabetes, but I'm trying to watch the sugar and eat small meals...trying to bring raw fruits and veggies to work when I wanna snack. Walking on my breaks. I hate the whole 15-22 pounds weight gain. Seems so unrealistic, but I am tryin. That's all you can do right? So far so good gained 4 pounds so far and I'm due Oct 1st (My first I was 45 pounds lighter and had a few complications during delivery but it was due to getting the epidural late in labor)
I'm due on October 10th with a boy. Plus size...don't have a bump yet. Don't think I will for a while. I was pretty chubby with my first born as well and never seem to loose the weight.
To me my belly sticks out on top which makes it look more like a pregnant belly but mainly it's just getting harder and rounder. I don't think most people can tell I'm pregnant prob think I'm just letting my gut hang out lol
I'm plus size as well, 12 weeks today, DD 10/27/15 with my first. I have to get the glucose test early since my mom is a diabetic and my weight puts me at a risk. I'm just so nervous about gaining weight, and having people not even know I'm pregnant. It's nice to find other women on here, we need to all be there for each other!
Me too! Pregnant with my 3rd, 12+3. No problems so far and passed my early glucose test last week. Last pregnancy (2 years ago) I only gained 15#. Both have been good pregnancies and normal deliveries. Biggest piece of advice: walk daily and lots of veggies and lean protein!

Thank you for the advice! I've been swimming a lot! Congratulations!
Plus size FTM here. Lost 20 lbs so far this pregnancy. Failed my early glucose test and has me a bit scared. Knew the risk I was at since diabetes is prominent in my family. Blood pressure is perfect every time I go to the doctor. Plus size maternity clothes are definitely a challenge, thinking of finding some stretchy comfortable clothing even though I haven't even begun to show yet. I'm 13+2 today.
I am a plus size FTM due October 12th (14w 5d). I have dropped 10lbs since I've been pregnant and still losing. I mostly carry my weight in hips and thighs but since I've been walking so much I keep losing weight. I'm really worried about my glucose test even though my family has no history of diabetes and my blood pressure has always been perfect. Really focusing on eating healthy and gaining only the necessary weight. I have a bit of a bump.
@midnightnemisis I've had some luck with Old Navy for plus size, it's just tricky b/c their clothes all run different sizes. I'm buying a lot of mine online and hoping that I guess right. Target only goes up to a size 20 and I would call that a tiny size 20. Motherhood and Destination Maternity as well as some Amazon vendors go up to 3x if you go online. Good luck!

Me too I was reading the B- belly to D-belly issue heavier women have. As long as baby is healthy I guess I shouldn't be sad I won't get a D-belly. Thanks for your post!!
I'm a plus size mom as well! Second pregnancy here & I'm about 30lbs heavier this time than I was with DS which I'm worried about!! Last pregnancy I had very little problems, but what I did have was pretty rough! Failed the early glucose test then stumped even the dr on the LOOOONG test. First draw was normal, second was high, third was low, & finally the fourth was high. Dr just scratched his head & told me to "I guess ummmmm.... Keep doing what you're doing?!?" I'll never forget him saying that & the total confusion on his face. lol Then at 37 1/2 wks my bp shot through the roof. I started "observation" at 1pm & within an hour was having an emergency c-section. It got so high that the dr who is VERY experienced told me I scared him. Whoops! So here I am at 14wks & doing well so far. Hope it stays that way! I don't have a bump so much as I have my normal tummy that looks a little bigger now! Oh well, I know I'm pregnant & that's all that matters. I wish all you ladies so much luck!! Sorry for being so long winded!

I'm 5' 11" and was 350 lb when I found out February 21 I was pregnant. I've since lost 20 pounds. I've found many cute plus size maternity at gap and plus size motherhood. The skirts at catos.com are wonderful when pregnant I've found. So nice and easy to slip off haha thanks for sharing!!
I am! This is my 2nd pregnancy. The only complication I had with my first was that I developed GD. Hoping that I escape that this time around but it definitely helped to keep the weight down. I only gained 11lbs my entire pregnancy. DS is perfect and healthy. EDD 10/24

I am a size 22, I was about the same size with my first baby. I was surprised how round and hard my belly got the first time! It took me awhile to be obvious, but once I was it was obvious to everyone.

Hey all, just found out last week I am now due October 31st!!! My cycle must have been WAY off, this is big surprise baby number 3! I am about 235 now having just lost 15 lbs since I found out I am pregnant. I have early diagnosed GD with all my babies, and so I immediately stopped all sweets and processed carbs. It's actually depressing though to lose 15 lbs and feel bigger, lol!!! But it's for a good cause! I already feel much bigger in the belly than I did with my girls, and I have been about the same starting weight with all. Only thing is with my second I gained 65 lbs, yikes, and it really messed up my stomach. I got diastasis recti or separation of the abdominal muscles, I have done not a lot to fix it. So I already look 4 months pregnant, just hoping to only gain back the weight I lost. It's hard but I am hopeful!
I'm a size 16 and 5'7" and started out at this size with my first baby. I gained 70 lbs with that pregnancy and had the hardest time losing the weight (even with breastfeeding). No complications at all... Great pregnancy, delivery and easy recovery. Hoping to gain less weight by staying active and eating less comfort foods this time around!!
Hi ladies. FTM here...15 weeks and 2 days. I'm due 10/04 and I must say I'm super excited to be on this journey. I was a little anxious when I found out I would be a mommy due to my weight. Pre-pregnacy weight 225..so far 228. I will check my weight progression on 04/28 when I have a OB appt. I have what the B belly. Anyone other mommy out there with this belly? I wonder if I will ever have a D belly
Hey! FTM here! Due Oct 22. almost 13 wks! I've been totally scared that being a plus size mom was going to put me at a disadvantage. I do have to take my glucose test early bc my dad is diabetic, and they are monitoring my blood pressure. But so far so good! I have notice that the top of my tummy is soo hard, but I don't think people can tell yet, bc I already had a big tummy. Glad there are others out there to share this journey!!

I definitely looked pregnant. I run high with blood pressure and failed my first glucose last pregnancy.
