Trying to Get Pregnant

Getting Pregnant from Sperm in a Condom?!

Before someone jumps down my throat about trying to get pregnant against my partners wishes... Our choice to start a family is 100% mutual, we have been trying to conceive for just over a year (the normal way) with heartbreak after heartbreak.
I've heard from two different people that they were unsuccessful until they pulled out the condoms again... And after ejaculation they would use a syringe and suck it up and inject it into their vaginas....
Has anyone else had luck trying this...
Or am I just being overly desprete to even be considering this?!

  • I'm not sure that they syringe would be any different than your SO just ejaculating in you? I agree you should see a doctor before trying to self-diagnose/treat.

  • I agree with PP, see an RE. if it's been a year and you've had well timed sex (during your fertile period before ovulation) then you can see an RE. There may be other issues that you need to know about. They can diagnose and help you get pregnant. I also don't think injecting sperm would be any different than ejaculation.
  • Read the RE thread above. He said that as long as the man is ejaculating with deep penetration or sometgibg (I can't remember his exact words), thevsperm is getting where it needs to go.
Look, I know you are desperate. But there are so many better things to try. Have you even tried charting your temperatures to make sure that you are it in your fertile period?have you tried opks? Since you have been trying unsuccessfully for a year, the chances are you or your husband has a diagnosable physical problem. This plan will not work for you. It is time to talk to your insurance company and ask about seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. Don't get fertility treatments from your OB/GYN. They are not the experts on this. go directly to a reproductive endocrinologist. You should search this board for that term so that you can read all about it. And also read the post pinned at the top of this board which is a Q and a session with an RE. Good luck!
