How late are you? Get thee to a OB and get your HCG levels drawn. That will for sure tell you if your pregnant or not. PMS resembles pregnancy symptoms, so you can't assume your pregnant just because you have them.
I'm going to say your NOT pregnant given your negative test. your hormone would be high enough to turn a hpt positive if your symptoms were related to pregnancy. Pms symptom can be similar to pregnancy similar. there is a TTC for further help
If your period is late than it is possible you are pregnant! Also your hormone levels could be low. My sister in law didn't know she was pregnant until she was 3 months. She went to the doctors and did a test there everything came back negative until she was 3 months that's when she got her positive test!

It is unfortunate that you are spreading false information and giving the OP reason to hope. Please educate yourself before giving ANY advice on the subject of TTC and pregnancy.

Not necessarily. My bff who was battling with pcos took three negative tests at home in a matter of weeks. She eventually went to her gyno because she still wasn't getting her period. She found out at about three months that she was pregnant and now has a healthy beautiful baby girl.
Go see your doctor. At home tests can give false negatives.

It's possible though that she wasn't pregnant at the time she took the home pregnancy tests. It's very rare to have a false negative with home pregnancy tests.

No ma'am. Based on the development of the baby and when she gave birth she was ABSOLUTELY pregnant when she tested. False negatives happen.
Clearly you want I be pregnant, but no one here can tell you that you are. Make an appointment with your doctor if you need medical clarification, but I've only heard of false negatives under very specific situations and it was never more than one test that may or may not have been defective.
@Msmelissarae um I'm pretty sure I'm not giving false hope because my sister in law gave birth to a healthy little girl if you want you can even ask her yourself. Not everybody's body is the same especially when it comes to pregnancy everyone's is different. Your not a doctor so don't try running your mouth to me. Maybe you should educate yourself about pregnancy.
Just my opinion here... Are you actively trying for a baby? I am presuming so since you joined tb a month ago. Your mind is playing tricks on you hun. If you desperately want to be pregnant, mind says ok! And symptoms will manifest (ever heard of hysterical pregnancies?) If the tests are neg, wait for AF and try again next month, or better yet, go to your obgyn. They'll be able to tell you you're not with 100% accuracy through blood test.

Yes, you're correct: every pregnancy is different.
However, testing negative on four pregnancy tests would indicate, with almost 100% surety, that the OP is not pregnant at this time. If her symptoms are caused by pregnancy, she is far enough along to turn a test positive. False negatives are extremely rare, and the chances of getting her hands on four faulty tests are nil. Your sister-in-laws experience, if true (and I do not for one second believe it to be true), would be the very rare exception to the rule.
I took 7 urine test. They came out positive. Went to the doctors, both urine and blood test came back negative. I am now 7 weeks pregnant !!!! Keep your chin up

HPT's are more sensitive than the tests at the doctors office. That's pretty common.

True When I worked in the ER the test were sensitive at 50mIU most hpt will pick up at 25 or less
And I believe the pp is confused about this post is because it doesn't belong here and is more appropriate on the TTC board
My bestfriend took 2 tests and both were negative and that same week she went to the doctor and they told her she was 8 weeks pregnant so it is possible to false negatives it just doesn't happen a lot
@jluixo it's really not a bother at all. We were certainly all new to TTC at some point. I do think it would help you to read up on when pregnancy tests are most accurate, and go see your doc if your period is way late and you're still testing negative. Also, the TTC boards will probably be more helpful to you and your boyfriend. Most of us in here are focusing on issues specific to 1st tri. Best of luck to you, hun!
Why are the same people who show at 7 weeks always the same ones with a friend of a friend of a friend who took 8 tests and they were all negative only to find out they were 5 months pregnant?!

If your friend takes pregnancy tests the way you write sentences, I can see why that might have happened.
Excuse me I don't want to take the time to be grammatically correct. Go eat or get a hug maybe you will be less moody and mean

That's cute and all. But if you actually expect people to accept what you are putting out there, you might at least make it somewhat comprehensive.
Lol at editing your comment. You lost that pair pretty quick. Afraid of getting banned for calling me a "B"?

I had typed more than b but went to take care of my son and didn't finish so nice try. I don't have to resort to calling you names. I don't care who accepts what on this forum to be honest. But I will state what I have experienced

But you did resort to name calling. At least own it.
The best advice on here is to go to your doctor if your period is late but you are getting negative tests.
I am sure crazy things can happen maybe...somehow? However it does you no good to count on or hope that's the case. It sucks to get those negative tests when you are hoping to be pregnant, but it's best to accept thr likely reality and plan for next month.
Twice last year I was more than 5 days late with my period ... Kept getting negative tests & then finally got positives. I had extremely low numbers that were failing to rise/double ... If you're even thinking pregnancy is a possibility you really should get in touch with your OB & have them order HCG draws for you! Goodluck
** just wanting to elaborate -- my numbers were so low & not rising that a pregnancy test wouldn't pick it up until days later. Both pregnancies in my situation were unfortunately NOT viable & I did go on to miscarry.
So... If I eat and get a hug, does that mean I will stop wanting to beat my children and set my husband on fire? Cause thats what I got from that. I think I need a hug, and quickly. Also, a bucket of kfc would be awesome right about now.
Re: Negative tests with symptoms

Go see your doctor. At home tests can give false negatives.
Obviously not super common but it happens. And I'm not saying the OP is pregnant. But, she needs to go see the doctor.
I had two negative pregnancy tests but had a positive one two weeks later. Good luck.
If you pee in baking soda and it fizzes it's a girl if not it's a boy!
